amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. Well, that sucks. I was actually thinking of ordering those exact amiibos, plus Ganondorf, from the UK, but now seeing that one box, makes me think not to do so. All of my amiibos are in their boxes. I don't care if the packaging is from Japan, UK, or timbucktoo, but I definitely don't want a box that is all mangled, crushed, ect. I'd probably return it or try selling it online. I don't mind very minor imperfections, but I don't want something that stands out.

I was going to order from Nintendo's UK site, but I couldn't put in the United States as the default coutryand I have to get ready to leave around 4pm. I'm thinking that only those who live in the UK can order from the UK Nintendo website. If so, thats pathetic. Why doesn't our Nintendo carry amiibos? Also, the NoA store SUCKS, as far as if you need accessories for retro systems. I couldn't even find hardly anything for Wii. Guess I'll just have to go to ebay, as usual. If I'll probably just take my chances preordering or whatever here at home. Worst case scenario, I'll just order from a couple Japanese vendors, who I've had great success, prices are fair and they package the amiibos well AND best of all, shipping only takes around a week.

I've received all others in great condition if it means anything to ya. This was a rarity but still a bummer. I've also seen an Amazon U.S. amiibo shipped shitty too so it'll happen to anyone from anyone. If you really want one, I'd probably suggest Amazon U.K. is a safe bet generally.

This wouldn't have been an issue if they chose the right box. The other two, as you see, are in fantastic condition. Can't wait to rip these open soon!

Only Green, I wanted Light Blue but meh, I'll get the other 2 another day.

I am not sure where Blue Yoshi is since these all shipped at the same time… but I now have a Green and Pink Yoshi amiibo!

I can't bring myself to open them up… so I need to get the combo-pack game and Green Yoshi so I can enjoy one outside the package.

A little bigger than the Smash Bowser I'd say. Smaller than I thought but not super small. Palm of your hand like other amiibo.

Can someone verify? One of my local guys called and told me that Dark Pit is Best Buy exclusive, no reserves, July 31st.

Man, Palutena's eyes frighten me. They're just so... off.

So back in April I secured a pre-order of five japanese amiibo. I think only one person showed interest in Rosalina and the rest went unnoticed. I really can't be spending over a hundred dollars on amiibo these days to help people get them, particularly when reorders are becoming more plentiful both overseas and here in the U.S. With that I regretfully announce I have cancelled this order from Play-Asia.

However, it seems that for a comparable price (or cheaper than would have cost you through me with the double shipping) you can find these online through Amazon.

Shulk for a little under $40
Meta-Knight for $20ish
Rosalina & Luma for $24-25 bucks
King Dedede for around $30
Lucario for around $20.00

Again, had I found interest in all amiibo I would have happily kept the order but I am already stuck with more amiibo that I can't sell for the cost I had for them and buying these to sell for current pricing would only be a few more bucks and not worth the trouble. King Dedede has had a Gamestop restock starting today but officially starting Thursday. Keep an eye out there. The rest are not too bad. Again, to the person who was interested in Rosalina, please seek the other option. The item would cost you $26ish plus additional shipping so there's a better deal to be had right now anyway.

I will always be on the hunt. Except for the Skylanders/amiibo hybrid things. Those make me angry.

Now, why does the amiibo/skylanders hybrid figures make you angry? If you are not 'on the hunt' for them, why does their existence, or soon to be existence make you angry? It just a toy.

I'm not actually angry, just disappointed.

The issue I have with them is that you can't get them outside the starter pack game bundles. As it is, there are four figures, and I think you need to buy more than one starter pack to catch 'em all. That's a over a hundred dollars for four figures and a game I have little interest in.

Truthfully, I hope this gets them into the hands of the kids Nintendo and Activision are intending them for, instead of scalpers.

Actually, I had forgotten that I hadn't already done that.

So what had happened was that there's a facebook group that my wife belongs to, kind of like a mini Kijiji. On this group someone posts a picture of a Palutena and Zero Suit Samus amiibo in box with the phrase "Saw these online for $30 each, selling for $25 for the pair." My wife not knowing which amiibo I want vs. which I already have, says "Do you want these?" I respond "YES DAMMIT!!" Then we go about contacting the seller. Upon setting up a meet to get these, the seller tells us "a cousin of mine gave these to me for my kids, but I don't know what they are and they don't seem interested. We don't even have a Wii U, so that's why I'm selling them." So that's how I got Palutena and Zero Suit Samus NIB in $25. A lucky find to be sure.
