amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. Nintendo apologies for amiibo supply issues, confirms restocks on the way, will make hunting down amiibo easier

"We appreciate the enthusiasm that our fans continue to show toward amiibo. Sales for the product have exceeded our expectations. We understand how frustrating it can be at times if consumers are unable to find certain figures, and we apologize for that.

We’re trying to meet the demands of our fans and consumers by increasing the amount of amiibo we manufacture and ship to retail. We may continue to see consumer demand outpace supply levels for certain characters at times, but we will do our best to prevent that from happening.

As our library of amiibo continues to grow, some figures will be easier to find than others. We are constantly looking for the opportunity to reissue amiibo and are already making plans to bring back some currently out-of-stock amiibo figures. Stay tuned for details.

Nintendo plans to make it easier for consumers to know when new amiibo are on the way, through Nintendo press announcements, timely updates on our social media channels and working closely with retailers.

We remain committed to keeping amiibo affordable and easy to access as a platform to enhance game-play experiences. I just saw this. I will try to keep an eye out for Greninja but I don't go to stores that often. (And I have no clue about shipping from Australia to the US)

So would anyone want a Shulk, King Dedede, or Lucario if I could get one from Japan? Again, it'll be a little pricey to cover all the costs I've incurred to obtain the order (or will have incurred by the end) but if you need one to fill in the hole in your collection, this could be the way!

Meta Knight is got! This brings my total number of Amiibo up to 4.

Nice. I bought a Meta-Knight amiibo too, and it doesn't disappoint as a cool collector's item. The mask looks battle-worn in a natural way, and the rest of the paint job looks good.

I received a Lucina amiibo in the mail the other day. As a more realistic-looking character, she has a lot of finer details that I'm happy to say come across well in amiibo form. It's an awesome figure, and I purchased it partly because I wanted to unlock Lucina in Codename S.T.E.A.M. on the 3DS.
