amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. Yep, you're right! I'm looking to obtain a Little Mac and I'd like to use a Pit to get it. However the Little Mac is actually for Ludist210 so I guess you could ship directly to him with Little Mac, I would ship you the Pit, and then Ludist210 would pay me back. Then that circle would be complete and Little Mac wouldn't be making a trip to Michigan before heading to Alabama.

So this is hilarious. I've traded one of my extra Wii Fit Trainers to Stache for Little Mac, which I didn't really want but, hey, better than having a spare Wii Fit Trainer. Now I have a Little Mac coming that I'm going to trade to Ludist, as brokered by Dr. Fink, for Pit, the only announced character I actually wanted from the start.

This has turned into baseball card collecting or something. Yeah, I'm in. Let's do this deal, bros.

Haha, good point. Though I'll probably shop ups since I can ship it out from work. Though... honestly it's probably smarter to just swing by the past office next week. Obama is visiting Detroit today so maybe since this is all his fault I can just give it to him to take.

The rares, right now, are Villager, Marth, and Wii Fit Trainer (they're more abundant in Europe). Fox is fairly uncommon right now too. Samus and DK are also hit or miss, but they aren't terribly uncommon. The speculated rares from the second wave are Little Mac, Captain Falcon, and Pit. Diddy is also somewhat difficult to find, but I'd label him uncommon at the moment.

Donkey Kong and Kirby arrived.

My basic intention is to train them up and then use them as a way to force me to improve my Smash Bros. Defensive game.

Right now I'm having DK face off against 7 lv. 9 cpu DK's in a team battle so they can give him some "Love".

I'm actually extremely impressed by how much fun I'm having with Amiibo in Smash. I may even go after a Captain Falcon one or something.

I lucked out and snagged a Falcon yesterday. Good luck finding him!

But yeah, my level 40 Marth and I have had some epic battles. I look forward to training up my other amiibo and just watch them go at it someday.

@ludist210 I just ordered one off Amazon for 33 bucks. i'd feel worse if I payed for the others with actual money as opposed to a giftcard I had no other use for.

Bowser and Megaman I'm hoping to have for me to try and deal with more specific aspects of my game. A well timed Flare Blitz can blast through most projectiles but I don't know the timing for it. As for Bowser? well... let's just say he's one of Charizard's more... delightful matchups...

From my experience Bowser is a tough matchup. He is pretty much the only character in the game who we don't want to trade with and trades are a huge deal for Zard. Land a Blitz on Bowser that didn't kill? Almost nothing gained, he is heavier and he will kill you earlier... ...His Flamethrower, Fair and Uair are just better versions of Zards.
His sideB will eat up any attempt of using super armor. That thing also kills really early.
Basically Bowsers attributes just remove whatever Charizard is as a character.

I've got an image in my head of a future pokepal, unshaven, clothes in tatters and surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of amiibos, just repeating the words "Target gift card... Target gift card" as he descends further into madness.

Someone needs to draw that. Or Photoshop it.
