Pokemon Ruby was the first Pokemon game I really got into and so I am looking forward to returning to the Hoenn Region after all of this time. I have so many fond memories of making a secret base and all of that jazz and I can even remember once beating all of the contests in Lilycove.

Returning to Hoenn is like returning home for me but I have already vowed not to do so untill I have completed the pokedex. And a little help there would be nice but I'm almost finished.

But still. I am looking forward to returning to Hoenn.

So I just got the national Dex in Omega Ruby during my second playthrough and as it turns out, based on the 18 boxes from my Pokemon Bank that I basically dumped into the game, that despite having a completed dex (minus a few event mons) on my file for Pokemon X my "Living Dex" that is, number of different kinds of Pokemon currently in my possession is only at 447.

Alot of it is just stuff like, I have an Infernape but I don't have a chimchar or monferno so it's alot of those kinds of loose ends. But with Omega Ruby alone I'll be able to clear up alot of those loose ends so... yeah...

Anyone got a preferred move set suggestion for Feraligatr? I'm working on him being a powerhouse. Right now his moveset is:

Superpower
Crunch
Ice Beam
Surf

Surf is a no-brainier. Ice Beam is to defend against Grass-Types, as well as Flying and Dragon. Crunch is fairly useful all-around, and Superpower is there to handle Steel-Types. The only thing I think I'm in trouble with for this set up is I don't have a good counter for Electric-Types. Thinking about swapping Crunch for Earthquake.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance...

@GameDadGrant can't you get ice fang as an egg move for feraligator? It's probably your better bet.

Swap Surf for Waterfall if you can, Feraligator is a bit more of a physical threat, Also if you can get the hidden ability Sheer Force then do that because believe me, that ability can get monstrous.
