Donations
Currently, the site doesn't bring in much money, and it costs about $85 a year to keep up. Not a whole lot, but the owner of this site isn't particularly rich, so every bit helps. Also, the web designer spent a lot of time and work to implement skins, navigation layout, make the site work quick and neat, and implement the options you asked him, all this instead of doing a paid professional site. The more you support the site, the better it'll run and the more potential its future will have.
Would it be possible to have an option to display 50 replies and topics per page? It'd be easier to read replies that way, plus it would mean less page-switching with the site's slow-ish load times.
Say, I've got a request. Any chance you could set up a release timer for the comics? I'd love to be able to load a few comics in at a time, but stagger how they're actually released on the board. Like, you know, maybe you still have the usual "push" option, but below it you could have a "set time for release" and then let us set up a specific date and time to publish it.
@Mop it up Possible... yeah but I wonder how many people would use it. Maybe we should do a poll or something and see if it is something a lot of people want.
@kriswright Ug... that's possible of course, but I think the work involved is kind of (relatively) heavy next to the benefits. You can't be patient and release them when you are ready to release them?!
Man. I feel mean like I'm denying requests and such but like... I have to prioritize! My "to do" list for this site never shrinks, it just grows and grows...
Hmm well, at best it will end up near the bottom of the "to do" list, and stuff has been lingering there for years. As much as comics are like... my baby... only 4 people are doing them and only 1 person has made this request so... tough to prioritize it higher.
May I ask why there is no choice for times such as +930 GMT in the timezones section for profiles. I've had to select a time half and hour faster than my own as mine is not supported :(
I didn't even know there was a such thing as half hour increment time zones! The programmer who set that up isn't doing programming anymore so I'm not entirely sure what he did, but I'll try to look at it if I get time.

The ignore user thing has floated back and forth over the years. Ultimately though we never really come to a consensus on whether it is even a good idea or not. Obviously some people want it. But I think in a lot of cases it just leads to more trouble. It can also lead to laziness on the moderator end as far as trying to ensure the tone and harmony of the site and the members, since you can just say "just ignore him/her!"
@anon_mastermind Oh yeah basically all forms/links were broken and I was going to fix them all and I fixed most of the forum ones and uh... forgot to fix the others. Now I know what my project is for today. I'll get on that.

Yeah, I just noticed this as well, and if I'm remembering correctly the same thing happened last year. It must have something to do with the fact that DST ends a week later now.
