I might actually recommend picking up the 3DS version just because some of the changes they made to make it more forgiving. (Which is good because there's a specific level that's caused me plenty of grief even with extra checkpoints.)

I looked forward to the game a lot when it was in development, but once I finally got my hands on it I wasn't all that impressed. I think the main thing that put me off was the way it handled the comedy, and how everything was so loosely stitched together to make room for more jokes. There needs to be more to a gag than just renaming something or making a visual reference to something that once was a thing to make me laugh. Get off my lawn. The 8-bit GTA nature of the game was handled pretty well, though.

I'm having such a ball with Lego City Undercover that this might be my next project.

@r_hjort idk if i'd even call them jokes, it's more just a nod to something. Also Final Castle's Clubhouse and Grill.

It's worth noting, in terms of updates the PC and 3DS version seem to be the ones to go to atm, the 3DS is on v1.17 (which added parking garages so you can store vehicles and stuff) while the PC version is on 1.19 (which added a bunch of stuff already in the 3DS version.

I guess the wiiware version will be getting patched to bring everything to where the 3DS/PC versions are in terms of features... in other news Wiiware games can be patched.

Apparently they are making an MS-DOS port.
