I'm getting Omega Red cause I prefer Groudon over Kyogre.

Neither, I'm afraid I've outgrown Pokemon.

…And I don't mean that in the "kiddie" sense! Because as far as I'm concerned, the art style and Pokemon designs are delightfully charming. No, I think I'm past the point where I can really enjoy the same ol' gameplay--type-match, battle's over--and progression--field/town/field/town/dungeon/town/field/dungeon/town. At this point in life I can't justify pouring triple-digit hours into grinding a bunch of critters over and over. And R/S pretty much killed my interest in the series the first time around, so I'm definitely not feeling the excitement with this one.

I'm tempted because I'm always tempted but this might be the first Pokemon generation I pass on. I still never completed Black 2 or X! That's gotta tell you something, and I intend to go back to finish those. It's just... I wont want to play a third Pokemon this year if I get around to those two. And I don't want to start a new Pokemon with two others unfinished.

I'm not sure. If they implement the same features as in X and Y, I'm afraid it'll basically be the shortest, easiest Pokemon game ever.

Really interested in the soundtrack though...

I've still haven't started on X, so neither right now. I'll see if X grabs and pulls me back into this franchise before I pull the proverbial trigger on one of them. If I do, probably Alpha Sapphire.

Ironically, I just bought Pokemon Y. The last Pokemon I played was Pokemon Ruby and it was a grind, part of it was because I was obsessed with raising the "perfect" team (or at least what I considered to be the perfect team so it was a grind. This time I'm going to take it slow and just play for fun. Whatever happens will happen. I'm not interested in becoming a Pokemon master.

Anyway, depending on how my playthrough of Pokemon Y goes, I may buy one of these remakes. Since I just bought the "Red" version I'll probably go for the blue one just to add diversity, although to be honest I prefer Groudon as a legendary. I chose Y because it had Heracross along with a bunch of other Pokemon exclusive to it so that will probably be the deciding factor in the end.

I bought X and didn't even beat the second gym. Ruby was my first one, so maaaaybe I'll get Omega Ruby, but odds are I'll pass. I've played Pokemon before.

I've been told to get Ruby.

I'm going to buy Omega Ruby simply because I like playing Pokemon games, and I had Pokemon Ruby when I was a kid. It feels appropriate to buy the remake of the version I played the most.

I'm curious about what features will be added to these remakes, but I'm already excited about exploring a visually-updated Hoenn.

This is almost my exact attitude. I got back into it with Diamond, got given Platinum for free & continued on with Heart Gold...but I only played to the Elite 4 in Black version and have barely started White 2. As a result I managed to resist being swept onto the X/Y bandwagon (just).

I dunno, I'd probably come back into it with more spare time, but it's hard to really make room for these games anymore. They need something really big to justify it aka Console Pokemon.

Neither, Y did not really capture me. This being their november game actually has me worried that Majora's Mask 3D might not be happening....

Neither. Emerald is my least-fave of the mainline games.

@TriforceBun Yeah, same pretty much. I dropped Pokemon after Gen-2 (much as I loved Gold and Stadium 2), and haven't really looked back since. Though that DOES mean a Gen-3 remake would be the perfect time to jump back in...!

While this is easily my least favorite generation of the series, I'll likely end up getting both.

I am a consumer whore.
