A simple question, with a very difficult answer, IMO. Capcom is one of the best developers/publishers in the industry. And they've been a good partner with Nintendo for years, delivering some amazing games and experiences for decades. What would you say is the best we've seen from them?
Draw upon your own standard for what constitutes as "best" and if you can, explain your decision. Let's hear your thoughts, Negative World!
@Guillaume I never understood the appeal for that game. I especially disliked the art style. I find the thick black line thing really gross to look at. Could make me nauseous. Then there's cinema strips and lines all over the screens and text and slow or fast effects. It was just too much.
Having said that I wouldn't mind a sequel if done right. The game had character, I'll give it that.
ps. I just generally find Kamiya kinda overrated. Wonderful 101 and RE2 seem like the games of his I'm most into and the former I only played about 2 hours of and the latter was great but still a step down from RE1.

The second part of your post doesn't match the first part...? In any case, there have been 4 Viewtiful Joe games...are you looking for a 5th?
@GameDadGrant I meant a new one on guess which system.
I edited my post as well. I usually give things numerous last chances lol. I gave Halo numerous chances even after I thought the first was merely okay, I wanted it to be good. Halo 4 looked better than all the others but I have yet to try it out.
So I'm down for a VJ game that does the (still ugly no matter what they do IMO) art style more justice.
RE 4 debuted on the same system, so, yeah. Personally, I'm surprised nobody's said Okami, considering how much of a 'Zelda Killer' it was touted to be at the time.
@DrFinkelstein Are you sure that is what everyone sees or does Wikipedia do the same Google junk and stalk your online movements and base content off of that?
GDG linked it up there.. It's today's "Featured Article," it has nothing to do with your surfing or else my Featured Article every day would be "Ogre Battle whuuures."
I think CapCom has fallen a long way since the old days, and may currently be one of the worst gaming companies. I can't think of any game they've released in the past few years, possibly past decade, that interests me. I could phrase that in a more controversial way, but I'd better not.
Not sure if I could pick one...I suppose my favorite is Mega Man X.
Other notable titles:
Resident Evil 4 (though I have problems with the latter half of the game, it's far and away the best RE game in my opinion. The older ones are practically unplayable for me and the newer ones seem to lose what made the series great) Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Okami (surprised to not see more love for it here....I never finished it but it's pretty incredible. Maybe the best "Zelda clone" ever) Mega Man 2, 3, 9 Ducktales Rescue Rangers
@ploot Never played any, and there sure are a lot of them. I wouldn't even know where to begin there.
@GameDadGrant I didn't like Mega Man 9, and though Mega Man 10 was good, it still didn't match up to the originals. Plus they're a bit tarnished by the frivolous DLC, the existence of which is kind of ironic since they're retro-styled games.
I suppose I'd have to be boring and go with the majority vote: Resident Evil 4. The game was a friggin' masterpiece. It's hard for me to think of any other games that could stand with it in that sort of epic adventure category. I mean, you've got gems like Mario and Zelda and whatnot, but RE4 was different. RE4 was the pinnacle of the kind of game RE4 was, if you ask me. (Especially after the travesty that is RE5.)
Beyond that I'd definitely have to give Mega Man X or Mega Man 3 the prize in a very close second.
EDIT: Oh, but wait. Looking at the list of their games from Wikipedia, and Aladdin on the SNES is on there? DANG. That also would have to be super, super high on my list. The Sega version was way, way prettier, but the SNES game was better in every other way. Classic platforming goodness. I used to be able to play it with my eyes closed I played it so much.
