Where can I get my "I voted" badge?

We could always have an "unofficial" overall GOTY poll after this is over.

Oh no I believe you in years past that Wii would always oust the DS, but I think this year it might have been different!

Handheld VC: Do I just vote for which games I think are best, or should I skip this category since I hate handhelds?

@Mr_Mustache Up to you I suppose. The way I voted was giving preference to the games that I actually played on VC last year, and then filling in the rest with the ones I didn't play on VC but have played in the past. So for instance I put Earthbound in the #1 spot for the console stuff even though I like Super Metroid more than Earthbound... because in my VC 2013 experience, Earthbound was king. But I still voted for Super Metroid at #2 even though I only played like 10 minutes of the Wii U VC version.

I nominated some games in Zero's thread, but I can understand why they wouldn't qualify for the final roster. In any case, I voted for the games based on my own experience, and unfortunately that means leaving some awesome games out that I just didn't get around to playing yet.

I'll hopefully get to vote before this is done. I'm still waiting on my Wii U to arrive from Nintendo. They still haven't updated the status on the repair.

I dunno man. Kid Icarus was pretty fucking fantastic. Easily my most played of 2012.

(I'm sure Xenoblade is too, but it got backlogged around the 5 hour mark. Oops)

I asked about how to score the VC eShop games (since I've played the NES iterations), and DH wrote back, and then I wrote back, and then Zero wrote back. I was nestled between them up there. Something like:

"Submitted. I didn't vote for any of that crap. Mega Man belongs on NES!" I can't remember.


And I can see someone going "well, that doesn't really add anything to the conversation, and is divisive at best," or some other pile of Horse S. Either way, I know I wrote it, I SAW it posted between them (yes, in that 5 minute timespan), and it was definitely deleted by someone who isn't me. (And I just did a Reply Search to make sure, and I've only typed "Submitted" 3 times according to that. The post has definitely vanished.)

Well, it wasn't me. I'll have to ask the mods what happened.

Ideally GOTY *should* be the better game.

Of course if you have a bunch of people voting who are just plain wrong....

Well Xenoblade is the better game too.

Kid Icarus Uprising is one of the worst video games I've ever played, definitely did not deserve a GOTY award. Maybe worst controls of the century award: WCOTC, it could have won that easily.
