A Link Between Worlds. I haven't beaten either yet, but it's been such a long time since I've played a new Zelda game that actually felt incredible beginning to end. The enemies hit hard, the puzzles are incredible, and there's free roaming the world and dungeons.
This is like choosing between my left hand and my right hand. Sure, I'm right handed, but I can't play games other than Wii Bowling without my left hand too. I'm not going to vote until I've finished playing both games, and I'll likely have to give LBW the edge, but both games are great. LBW though, man, has got to be the best Zelda ever originally designed for a handheld.
This poll... is not going how I expected. Do people really like Zelda that much more, or are certain people USING FAKE ACCOUNTS TO VOTE AGAIN?!
Or did some people vote before the W showed up thinking it was a poll between Zelda and 3D Land?
Hmm.
It was correct in the OP. In any case, it seems people understood it was World from the beginning. I actually thought it was going to be much closer, though, with Zelda winning.
Hmm, there is the fact too that more people here have a 3DS than Wii U, and I suspect a few people are voting without having put serious time into both.
Maybe more people just prefer Zelda though? I know people are going nuts over Mario but I haven't been paying attention to Zelda as much since I haven't started it yet.
Yeah, Zelda deserves the recognition this time around for sure. Not only is it a great game, but it has renewed my excitement for the future of the series.
@Zero It's going how I expected. People may be enjoying 3D World, but it's a pretty formulaic Mario game, and based around one from two years ago. The new Zelda, on the other hand, is something we haven't seen for a very long time. I'm not surprised people would choose it as the "better" game even if they immensely enjoyed 3D World.
@ploot And the direct sequel to that was on the SNES! And then the direct sequel to that one was on the GBA! And then the direct sequel theo that one was on the Wii!
EDIT: To add another note the "direct sequel" to The Wind Waker was on the DS
I know what's going on here. A bunch of folks (like me) are too busy playing Mario to even crack open the new Zelda. Zelda can wait, Mario is the big star of the holidays. Cat Mario, bitches!
@anon_mastermind Hmm, that could be true as well... I have both but haven't started Zelda yet. Mind you, it's not because Mario is in the way as I always find time for both consoles and handhelds, but Phoenix Wright is still yet to be finished...
@Zero Yeah, as you can see in the other thread, I'm just way too busy on 3DS to even consider a new game. Or maybe I'm not too busy? What's one more to the list?
