@roykoopa64What parts stops you? Have you used a leaf power up to better your chances? And thanks. I have that last level and the last mystery house (which is hardly a challenge anymore after figuring out number ten, the ice skating one) beaten with Mario, Toad, and Luigi. Still working on beating everything with Luigi though. I spent time 100%ing Worlds 1-4. I just want those early levels done with as I've played them soooooo much. @Wellsy529The last world and stages unlock without beating the game 100% with everyone, just in general. Also, that's all you get as far as I know from beating it 100% with each character, the last sticker for each person. After I opened up the last level, or maybe I had to beat it first, it showed me who I beat each level with. There was no guesswork at all when it came time to start tackling that. As for beating the game a billion times over, it's a little tedious but honestly, by then, especially with the right power ups, you can blast through everything because you should already have all the green stars and possibly gold flags. Look into a wiki or something to find out exactly when the game shows you who beat what levels. Shoot for that, then go back with everyone. It'll save you time and strife. |

@DrFinkelsteinI keep having trouble with the beep block stairway, mostly. But the problem is I make small errors every now and then while I try to get to that part, and having to start over and over again is no fun. And yeah, I've tried the Tanooki Suit, which works wonderfully. I usually make it to the swinging spike bar section before I get hit for the first time and lose the suit. I did play just a few minutes ago and made it to the end of the stage. Unfortunately, I died while collecting the last of the 5 key things. So close! And when I tried again, I kept making stupid mistakes early on in the stage, which only serves to remove any motivation I have to keep trying and trying. I can only take so much re-trying and so many lives lost before I decide it's time to move on to something else! Oh, and I'm doing this with Toad. |

I just finished the game (aka got to the end of the second secret world and did the Boss Rush level). Overall a fantastic game that... I didn't really enjoy all that much. It was very odd. I had a lot of fun at the beginning, but then as it continued I just felt like I was forcing my way through. Had my wife not "HAD" to see all the levels I'd have quit long ago. So that's kind of weird. I think the camera-thing was what really bugged me. I never got a handle on judging distance and whatnot, even after the whole game. So it was frustrating when I'd die to Goombas or whatever because I couldn't see correctly. All in all the beachy levels just made me want more Mario Sunshine, which I honestly feel like was the last "real" 3D Mario game. Galaxy and G2 were amazing masterpieces, but I want my "choose the level by going into the portal and then a list of stars you have to collect in that big, open, lovely-to-run-around-in level with no timer or "goal line" or whatever. That's what I want. And if I can't get it, well, I'll just go play Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Banjo-Kazooie again. I don't mind, they are the best games ever made. 9/10 for unbiased quality 4/10 for personal enjoyment PS. I would play a game that was just entirely Plessie levels. I loved them best. |
