Wii Fit U, where fitness is fUn. No that's not their actual slogan, nor would it ever be a contestant for one, but from my own personal experience, Wii Fit has always been a fun and engaging experience. Where the series lacked in the past, challenge of keeping up your daily life with the game life, lack of variety over a long term, and ability to connect with friends,.... the new version for Wii U seems to be correcting all of this.

Fun Fact: There's three tiers to how you can purchase this game. You can either...
A.) Demo the game Nov. 1st and buy a Fit Meter to secure the game for free. The Fit Meter costs $20.
B.) You can buy a Fit Meter and a disc copy of the game for $50. I believe that's on December 13th.
C.) You can buy the disc game, Fit Meter, and the Balance Board for $90 dollars, also December 13th.
For more information, check out Nintendo's webpage for Wii Fit U.
Hmm I'm going to have to figure out how to get a pedometer before my trip to Florida this week. If they don't have it at Toys R Us then I guess I won't be getting one.
Why isn't this available like any other product?? Agh. The closest Toys R Us that carries the pedometer is a half hour away. The closer one (15ish minutes) doesn't have it available.
I'm not in any rush to get the pedometer. We've wanted demos for Nintendo games for years, why not take advantage of the 28 days remaining to this one? In 2-3 weeks I should have a better idea whether all the little irritants that Triforcebun touched on will lead me to stop using Wii Fit U or not.
I ordered the Fit Meter from Best Buy, and threw in some cheap headphones to get free shipping. Excited.
@Guillaume I was gonna do this, but past few days I've been working out and thinking much more "healthy", I really missed having Wii Fit in my life. I'm gonna be using this software a lot.
I would normally wait but I wanted to get one before we do a couple days in Disney.
Edit: Finally found one in stock (the place I ordered one apparently didn't have one) but it's about 40 minutes away. Looks like we're going on an adventure today.
Due to some discussions with other members, the code is now behind a link so that only those who have an account here can see the code and thus easily join us. This way non-poster/non-lurker folks cannot join unless they make an account. It's only fair. This is a Negative World community after all. The discussion is free but the community is for us.
I haven't been training much lately, but the Fit Meter has been on my side all week. The last two days, I've walked a total of five miles and burned nearly 1,000 calories.
So if my Mii still looks fat, it's probably because...it...is still fat. I haven't weighed in. Sick daughter and all.
Fink, I've almost caught up to you in the Altitude Challenge (on the Statue of Liberty).
I want to bring my Wii Fit U meter with me, but it looks like it (like other pedometers) will have inaccuracies due to riding in the car and things of that nature. Does anyone have any recommendations? Should I just take out steps mentally that were made if I think I was travelling? I had something like 580 steps the other day but there's no way that was true.
It's been pretty accurate for me...when you sync it, you can't delete anything. I thought I read you could make notes during periods of time, so just make a note that you were driving during that time?
All right, this annoys me so much, and I don't know why they do this.
I CAN'T SEE MY WEIGHT IN POUNDS. Just because I'm in Canada doesn't mean I don't weigh myself in pounds. I hate using kgs.
The original Wii Fit allowed either, and Wii Fit Plus took away the option. I made the silly assumption that they'd add the option back in with this. I really, really, really hope they patch in the option or I'll have to change my location settings to the States.
Huh, never saw the option in the states (so I'm in pounds). That stinks though.
A quick Google search says you need to change your locale to the US in the Wii U's settings to get pounds. Maybe they'll patch in a fix for the future though...
