Is anyone excited? It'll be a look at games being released by the end of the year, so I expect some footage of Link Between Worlds, the 3D Mario game, and maybe even a moment on Wind Waker HD since the physical copy is not out yet.
Also, is it bad that I'm kind of happy that it got delayed? I was just thinking about how I am in this eternal pattern where I'm always 3-6 months behind in gaming (for instance, still haven't even started one of my most wanted games, Pikmin 3, and haven't even bought Wonderful 101 yet.) I don't mind having a bit more time to catch up.
BTW Mario looks awesome. Seems to be tons of new suits, as well as other... stuff.
Pikmin 3 DLC? That could help make up for the fact that it (from what I've heard, haven't played it yet) is much shorter than Pikmin 2. Although it makes me wonder if Nintendo withheld this stuff on purpose to sell as DLC, I know pretty much EVERYONE does that, but I was hoping Nintendo would be better than that. You know, the money pinching Ninte... what was I thinking?!
February isn't bad for DKC. Probably just needed a bit more time to polish it up.
Mario 3D World is definitely looking more interesting. Loved the cannon block. It's moved from a, "I'll probably get it eventually," to a, "Wow, hello, birthday gift, if not before!"
The Olympic game looks more fun than the Party game. Guess I prefer bobsledding to competitive laddeling.
The Pikmin 3 DLC is interesting to me. The price seems reasonable; it looks like it's got 4 levels for $2, and I love Collect Treasure missions. That guy with the top score is not human; I don't care what his momma says.
Glad we can chose between English and Japanese audio in Bravely Default. Very glad.
I dunno, it's not like it's extra levels on the main mode--it's extra challenge mode stages. I guess I'd liken them to NSMBU's challenges (although bigger and more in-depth); while Pikmin 3 was shorter than expected, it didn't feel like it was being withholding.
I'm still not overly convinced by the Sub-Con theory of SM3DW. Really the only Mario 2 connection I can find is the four playable characters, which seems like an obvious choice anyway. There're no Shy Guys (yet), no Wart (yet), and no real music or stage design similar to SMB2. I'd think at this point in the development, we'd know by now because the game should be at least a little more saturated in Sub-Con decor.
I just watched it. Mario 3D World looks incredible. I'm also looking forward to the Olympic game and was pleasantly surprised that they added online to that. Really the only disappointment out of this was the DKC delay, but it'll be ok. The Kirby game looks fun too. It's good to know that they already have a pretty nice 2014 lineup coming on both systems and that there also still has to be more that we don't know about.
Watching the Direct now, and hooooooly crap Mario! I fear we might never get to play this game on account of it getting banned due to excessive funness.
