I've been playing this from scratch lately. Loving it. I get so addicted to the challenges and unlocking all those damn blue boxes.

My favorites have always been Marth, R.O.B., Toon Link, and a few others I can't recall ATM.

Anyone still play this game a whole five and a half years later?

I've played it recently a few times at parties and stuff. Toon Link is definitely my favorite, and Diddy Kong is my second. Never quite got to a solid third... Peach maybe?

I think I suck at it though. Albeit I held my own in Montreal, which surprised me, since you gaming nerds are usually so good at stuff.

Kirby >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All

(has nothing to do with BiTF.

I haven't played it in years. Nobody to play with =\

I was just playing earlier this week. It seems I've gotten a bit rusty. I mainly use Marth, with Luigi as my secondary. I guess Link would be my third. It's so much fun to mess with people using the gale boomerang.

I've played this game consistently since the day it came out (except when I was traveling) and I've never come close to getting bored of it. Such an amazing game.

@Pokefreak911

Hey we should try playing online one day.

With any luck it won't be as laggy as my attempts to play the Americans here.

Haven't fired it up in a long time. It was a really good game, though.

My mains were Pit, Pikachu and Toon Link.

I haven't played this game in over three years because I hate it, but R.O.B. was the best newcomer. Unfortunately, I don't see it returning in the next game. I also liked King Dedede though, and he seems likely to return.

My main was Falco. Ike was my other main, and Sonic too. Also, Captain Falcon. And DK, plus Dedede and Jigglypuff and Ganondorf. Mario as well, and Pikachu. Plus Squirtle and Ivysaur.

But NOT Charizard.

Okay yes, Charizard too.

@Mop it up

Why do you hate it? You excited for the new one at all? I've seen you post in that thread.

@DrFinkelstein I'd rather not get into that because it never ends well, and I don't want to turn this thread into arguments. I know I've said a few things on it here though, which you can find if you do a little searching. It was in some Smash thread and there can't be too many of those. As for the new one, I'm watching it, but haven't seen anything yet to make me optimistic. I'm actually worried about it being too much like a regular fighting game since it's being made by a fighter team, though I s'pose that's still better than Brawl which was made by an RPG team who only know spectacle and not actual gameplay. All I can say so far is that the graphics are much better, and I'm glad they don't have the dark colouring and dramatic shading that makes Brawl dull, drab, and depressing.

Just nabbed my Ancient Minister trophy and beat Tabuu!!!! Subspace complete once again! And on Hard no-less. Damn those red rings of death.... you think that's a jab at the Xbox?

I just realized... that fight may have been easier if I had used Stickers. I only put them on Mario and Captain Falcon but I never used them unless I had to. Oops...

Just unlocked Toon Link, Wolf, and Jigglypuff! Needless to say, I am so happy to have the first, the second I hope doesn't make it back into the Wii U version (or at least replaces one of the other similar characters). As for the third... I say bring her back. I know she's similar to another character but her unique moveset always makes for fun and sometimes funny matches. Also, do I have to bother spoiler tagging this stuff?

I kind of suck at this game, but it's still fun. And I did close out our Chicago session as the NW champion. (Ploot's motor skills may have been somewhat impaired, though.)

@Zero
Snake?

By they way, if you guys want to picture what it's like to play Zero in Smash, just imagine a never ending torrent of banana peels, downthrusts, and land mines.

I shouldn't talk, though. I use Mario and Captain Falcon's uppercut 90% of the time.

Love, love, love this game. Probably put in close to 1000 hours, no regrets. My main is Falco, but I love to play almost every character.

Just beat All-Star Mode with Ike on Hard with No Continues. That was fun. A little tense at the end there. My battle with Olimar I was already over 100%.

@Anand

Too bad the netcode for Smash is so terrible. You could be facing my ridiculous array of smash attacks and endless spin attaks. Oh, and a healthy obsession with dodging.

(Yes, I play as Shadowlink)

I have high hopes for solid online play in Smash WiiU/3DS, if Kid Icarus Uprising's online mode is any indication.

@Shadowlink
My brothers ruined our disc! I need to try and nab a new copy.

I just realized while typing up the info for the next podcast that the Game Database's first game was Super Smash Bros. Brawl. How awesome is that?
