The NEVERENDING QUEST is BACK! [community]

Old school Neg Worlder's remember fondly the experience quest. I decided to remake it. I actually had this ready long ago, I just wanted to get some more stages going, but I've been pretty busy and thought WTF, it has 10 stages already which isn't a bad start. I'll work on more stages once people need them.

So enter the new and improved NEVERENDING EXPERIENCE QUEST.

For the newbz, essentially it is a meta-game contained in this site, seeing how many stages you can complete. Some are just simple quizzes. Others will make you think outside the box. Can't explain it much more than that, just play it yourself and see what I mean!

The Neverending Experience Quest can be found HERE or under "NEQ" in the "etc" menu above (link actually does something now.)

You can also view user rankings HERE (just sort by NEQ to see who is leading the quest.)

CHANGES:
A. Massive XP now given for every stage completed. MASSIVE.
B. There is now a strike system. You start with full XP for any given stage, but lose XP each time you answer incorrectly, up to 3 strikes. After that, there are no more penalties, so guess away!
C. There is now a hint system. When you answer incorrectly you will get a hint. There is only one hint per stage.

Post any questions, concerns, bugs, etc. in this thread! And you can also use, but do NOT post actual answers in this thread.

WARNING: DO NOT POST ACTUAL ANSWERS IN THIS THREAD. OR ANY THREAD, FOR THAT MATTER. The point of the game is everyone figures it out on their own. If you want to private message a friend an answer that's between you and them, but keep it private.

OTHER WARNING: I WILL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, GIVE "PRIVATE" HINTS THIS TIME AROUND. ANY HINTS I DECIDE TO GIVE WILL BE DONE PUBLICLY HERE, IN THE OFFICIAL NEVERENDING EXPERIENCE QUEST THREAD. AND YOU CAN BEG ALL YOU WANT, YOU WON'T GET MANY HINTS, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING HINTS ARE NOW WORKED INTO THE GAME.

Have at it!

Also, are we allowed to say what didn't work on the forums. To make fun and discuss our wrong answers?

Man I have no clue what game the character in the second question is from.

Yup, I was so proud to figure out the first one only to then hit a brick wall with trying to figure out who that character is, heh.

EDIT: And of course I figured it out just after posting this ;p

Um... I suppose so, as long as it's not one where saying what didn't work is a super huge clue to what did work.

Anyway, I've been thinking... we need a few more stages in this sucker now that we have a pretty new site, right guys? Damn, it's tough coming up with them. But I'll try to get some done.

Okay here are all my more interesting wrong guesses for the first question.(still haven't got it yet)
1) Sega - Okay they don't really suck, sometimes, but I must have said Sega sucks a thousand times as a kid!
2) Bowser - He always sucks, at least when I am playing
3) Mortal combat - I love it when the game says "YOU SUCK"
4) IGN - Yeah I tried it
5) Sonic - Yeah more hate for Sega

I just realized the screen that shows when you fail might be an actual game and not just a picture of game over...
Maybe I can find something on google now I don't remember that game at least.

Hehe, I did get the
"Hey chump, what you trying to pull here? You aren't even on this stage!"
trying to skip the question with faulty form data

Now #8 is breaking my balls. Grr. :p

Technically stage 8 COULD HAVE been solved in the new site, though it would either have to have been A. an accident or B. someone really paying attention to file names.

But the new stage makes more sense for the new site.

I'm stuck on eleven. Can't seem to get past it no matter what I do.

How very odd.

Har har har.

This is sad, but I am absolutely stumped at question 5. I know it's got to be something in the Mega Man series, but I'm stumped...

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. Finally.
12/18/09, 16:25
yea, I've given up hope of ever solving Stage 5
12/18/09, 16:26
The actual answer to 5 is really easy, though figuring out how to type it correctly burned my three strikes. Zero or any of the other gods, feel free to edit that if it's too hint-y.

EDIT - Still no joy with 8. Alas.

I'm probably stuck for good...I've never played the game pictured in 8.
12/18/09, 20:53
I've played it and I still dont know what the answer is.

You and me both, sister. If the failtext is supposed to be a hint it's lost on me.
12/18/09, 21:04
Count me as another one probably permanently stumped on 8, lol.
12/18/09, 22:43
I am so damn stumped on 5. I know the series, but I can't get the answer at all.

DAMN YOU! Now I'll obsesses over this for days.
12/24/09, 04:39
Yeah...I gave up on 5...
12/24/09, 08:15
I still can't do number 8 even with the new clue. I just don't get it
