Actually..I can't connect online with MH so it's out tonight.. I tried quite a few times and it keeps disconnecting due to "Network Instability" This is the first time it's happened to me... and I know they are not doing maintenence... Time to try a different game I guess..

Bah. That stinks, man. I can maybe go online when I get home. I really don't think-- It'll be a while. And the wife is off of work today and tomorrow, so we'll probably get some TV in. We don't have a lot of time together.

I should be untethered on Saturday night though, as I don't work Sunday, yet she does. She'll be in bed early, and I can party all_night_long.

yeah...and some other stuff too...like some bloody boots with wings.

I'm on the 2nd quest of the 3 star 'section' for solo missions and I've never sworn so much in my life - The most frustrating, iritating, poor level designed quest of all time: The "large egg" fetch quest. You know the one... where you have to deliver two big eggs to finish the main quest?

Well I spent all 50min the first run through - I slayed 5 Jaggia, delivered one egg my a miracle (sub quest A/B), and then couldn't deliver the second one because of the F'N bugs!

So then I hired Cha Cha..thinking it would be easier. Bull shit. I went straight for the eggs.. Delivered one with not much of a problem.... The second was impossible... First it was the F'N 'sand dolfins'....then the F'N bugs...then the F'N bugs again.. Finally..by some miracle, I got by..oh..and what's this?? The original path you took for the 1st egg is blocked by F'N ROCKS??!! F! Just got by another section of Bugs..then those stupid F'N cats, the 'tricertops', and I was on the last screen before camp and those Tri's charged me. F! F! FFFFFFFFF!

Can't do anything - can't run, can't put down the egg and defend yourself, paths are magicaly blocked by rocks - and these are not just quest specific blocks...they are just put there for your second 'run' so you have to go through more monster filled paths doing nothing but walking slowly..

I just wated 2 hours of my life accomplishing nothing because of poor game design. Obviously, for a person trying to get back into Monster Hunter, this is one quest that shouldn't have been attempted. So now I'm mad.

I think if I ever play this game again..it will be online only for the next little while. I cry bullshit - time to move on to another game. F!

The key is having the transportation skill or charm so you can run around monsters.

And naturally you can run a little with the egg. Also, be sure to eat before you quest, and keep that stamina high!
