Interesting. So, just keep boppin' him on the head and they should break? I broke a Diablos horn the other day and I hadn't done that before. I know that Hammers and Greatswords are better for busting faces, but I'm still on the Sword/Shield plan. I'll keep at it, thanks.
I'm using the Djinn; aren't I doing an increased amount of damage with the Fire Elemental numbers? My sword is always "green" as well. As soon as it hits "white," I whet it.
When I broke the Diablos horn, I was using the Icicle Spike+, I think its a 330 Ice Damage deal. Am I understanding that stuff correctly? It does 182 to normal folk, but 330 to those weak to an element?

I think you're right. I'll just keep wailin' away at the head. I mean, I cut off tails allll the time. Isn't that somewhat similar? I never really destroyed the Diablos head, but the horn was definitely severed.
Or maybe I'll just have to rely on a group dynamic to pick up one of those horns. Thats how I got it yesterday.. Ah well. Thanks, again.
Poop. I guess I'm semi-out of luck then. I've used the other weapons in the Demo. I gotta be mobile! I liked the Longsword, but you can't block at all? Eesh. Not really a Bowgun guy. I remember going soooo slow with the Greatsword, too. Maybe someday..but not now.
I just got this game and I have no idea what is going on. When can I get online with the game? Please tell me this get easier to understand. I tried eating some burnt meat and it depleted my stamina. What the heck is up with that?
You can get online as soon as you can. When you save your game (or whatever), the next time you go on you'll want to select "City." "Village" is the offline mode. Your best bet is to have someone else go online with you at the same time; make sure they're going on, and know their name or ID number. It isn't set up (at least i don't believe theres a way, maybe I'm wrong..) where you can put someone's name in before they're on. I THOUGHT there was a manual entry deal before, but now I'm not so sure. Every person I've added has been online.
When you see someone you know online (you'll do "Player Search" and then type "Mustache"; it'll pop up what Server I'm on, what Gate I'm at, and what City I'm in. You can send me a message then, with Friend Request clicked to "Yes." I'll get your message and send mine back. Then we'll be friends. You can Warp to me, and we'll go on sweet missions together.
Back to understanding the game (which you really should do before going online), what is giving you the most trouble?
There are basically two schools of offline play; Freehunt / "The Woods" or Quests. I think you're in the Woods portion of it now since its still early. What have you been asked to do? The game eases you in (like an old man into a warm bathtub!) and doesn't really set you in situations that you shouldn't be able to handle.
I don't want to spoil stuff for you; knowing exactly what you've been asked to do is a good start. I hope it makes more sense soon! Feel free to PM me (or probably anyone of us) if you need specific help.

Sorry I haven't been online at all over the past few weeks. I got into Super Mario Galaxy 2, started school and got re-addicted to Rune Factory Frontier. I promise I'll return...someday.

Really? I didn't think of it as "grinding" but rather an opportunity to help lower ranked players. Helping Anand climb to HR 12 works towards me hitting HR30. Plus, you get docked points each time you fail a mission. Without those failures, you'd be a LOT closer to where you're supposed to be.
