Watch and be whisked back to an era of pizza and butt-kicking:

Gotta say, this hit my nostalgia button hard! I wasn't even the biggest fans of the Turtles or anything, but I looooved Turtles in Time (and the NES beat-em-ups), so for me, TMNT is all about that main theme and those character designs. This looks fantastic!

No word yet on if it's on the Switch or not, but it's coming to "PC and consoles," and Dotemu has done well bringing other stuff to the Switch, so I don't see why it wouldn't.

Oooh it looks awesome. Did anyone play the fan made "TMNT Rescuepalooza?" It used a lot of old assets from the old games but this seems more like a successor to Turtles in Time. Wish they could've called it TMNT V, lol.

(On one minor note, part of me wishes they could've had LizardCube animate it to look like the show, but I do love the arcade throwbacks, so I'm definitely down for this)

Whoa, I LOVE the art style. It seems kinda familiar? I wish there was a way to figure out who did the sprite work. I've never cared for the Ninja Turtles, but have wanted to try Turtles in Time for a while now. I'll probably pick this up. Seems solid, and the sprite work is super appealing.

@Hero_Of_Hyrule
Some of the staff at Tribute Games previously worked at Ubisoft on the TMNT GBA game and the Scott Pilgrim game. Possibly from there?

EDIT: The developer behind this also worked on Flinthook, Mercenary Kings and Panzer Paladin.

Shut up and take my pizza!

This looks dope and apparently it will have online multiplayer so we best get some games going together!

The Dotemu parade of excellent retro revivals continues. I'm not a huge beat-em-up guy, but I have some nostalgia for TMNT 2 and 3 on NES, so I'm probably in.

Maybe this is a sign we might get some kind of TMNT collection? There are so many games they could use, from the three NES games, the GB games, Turtles in Time, Hyperstone Heist, etc. Probably wishful thinking, but then again I didn't think I'd ever see the classic TMNT back at it again either.

Yeah, saw the trailer. Butchered theme song aside, it looks like it could be a lot of fun. Cautiously optimistic (and probably a day one purchase).

Shredder deserves it, man. The Turtles have been beating him like a drum for decades.

Jerry's a jerk, too. Poor Tom!

It's out! Anyone shell out for this yet?

It's on Game Pass, so I re-subbed for a month to play it with some friends, and it's a big fun mess in multiplayer. We got a crew of 5 playing online, and half of the time I had no idea where I was on the screen, haha.

So yeah, it's probably exactly what you were expecting it to be: a celebration of Turtles in Time style arcade brawling fun.

@nate38
I opted for the physical copy, but as it's through Limited Run games, I probably won't receive it until Shredder's Revenge itself has a retro throwback sequel coming out...!

But I did play the first four stages on my brother's digital copy as my boy Donatello. So far, I'd say they nailed the satisfaction of a Turtles beat-em-up! It's quick and punchy, a little more simplistic and fast-paced compared to something like Streets of Rage but still with plenty of depth; Turtles in Time fans will feel right at home.

Yeah I got it and played through like 8? stages or so (which is probably like half the game, not expecting a lot of length to be honest.) Some with random online strangers, some with people I know.

It's super fun! It really does feel like it just picks right back up where Turtles IV left off, except you can have 6 people playing online now.

Though I'd still say it's ideal with around 4 or so. 6 is just chaos.

It’s excellent! Been having a lot of fun with it. It’s kicking my butt on hard mode. Leveling up the characters definitely seems to make a difference though. You can really abuse the super moves. It’s been really fun charging up your super with defeated enemies, too.

The Switch version doesn’t perform very well at times, but maybe it’ll see a patch to fix some performance issues.

I grabbed this on Steam, and digitally on the Switch. I also have the physical version ordered.... Did I mention I have Game Pass? I'm a Turtles junkie.

I played through the medium difficulty in arcade mode using Casey Jones and lost two lives. Dang skuzzbuckets only got me twice! Guess it's time for Hard mode.

If you're on here, but not on Discord- get on the NW Discord! I'm trying to round up people to play the Switch version online!

I downloaded it on Switch. It’s awesome! Great game and I played it (locally) with my son. Fantastic. The Switch version even has a leg up on the Playstation version - Switch can do 6 player local play. But Playstation can’t! Nintendo remains king of local multiplayer.

This is a near perfect revival of the Konami games from yesteryear. It’s so good.

I do recommend not using the taunt move at all though. It completely breaks the game. Once you level yourself up, you can have three Supers per screen, making most encounters incredibly trivial. Arcade mode seems to be where it’s at, since you can’t stock your Supers like this.

Spamming three supers in a row is fun when you have 6 people doing it at once. There aren't enough multiplayer games that are P6+
