@Zero

Mine ended in January, which was a bummer. I haven’t bought much physically since then, and my Best Buy spending has dropped considerably. What I did do, though, was preorder a handful of games coming out later in the year, because the discount still applies to preorders. Well, all the games I did preorder already came out. I could have purchased a bunch of Nintendo games that cane out in the fall, but my total spend was getting ridiculous, so I got about half a dozen games that came out in the next few months. Take full advantage!

Don't you have more important things to think about today??

Mine is ending soon, too. Actually, I think that should have ended already, but it keeps going, for some reason...

MassGenie has another eShop deal, btw. You guys used it last time, right? It's legit?

Ha, I was wondering the same thing about Andrew!

Uh, don’t know if massgenie is one I used or not.

Stores seem to be selling a number of games for $50 these days, but we'll probably have to wait until the holidays for the good deals.

There is a STEAMWORLD sale, all games are on sale.

SteamWorld Dig - Switch / Wii U - $2.99, 3DS - $2.69
SteamWorld Heist - Wii U / 3DS - $4.94
SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition - Switch - $6.59

Puts it at 20 US or 26 Canadian.

Got it.

I don’t really have any issues with GameStop, but holy crap, how do they not have any off-the-shelf copies of Astral Chain on release day?! I deliberately wanted to buy it there to support them, but whatevs. Anyway, I remembered that I read somewhere that Walmart was selling the game in-store for only $50, so I thought I’d check there. Indeed they are!!! What really caught my eye, though, was that they apparently sell ALL NEW GAMES for $50. Not a single Switch game was priced at $60. I may buy more games at Walmart.

@Brandon

Wow, seriously? Only $50? Dang. I might have to see if Best Buy will price match that puppy, because I want the game a lot and happen to have $32 in Best Buy credit... Hmm.

@Brandon

Yeah, I think this is Walmart's way of combating Amazon. For awhile, I would avoid Walmart like the plague, but my stance has softened a bit on them more lately.

I couldn't find a nice bookshelf on Amazon that shipped in two days, but Wal-Mart had my back! (But you need to drill your own holes at one point? What!?)

@TriforceBun

Ha, I avoid amazon like the plague! Had to cancel Audible when they bought them, don’t watch things on Twitch, even don’t use IMDB anymore. If only I could avoid everything that uses AWS, but alas, I cannot. It’s waaay easier to just not go to a certain store. I have no problems with Walmart, though. Had no plans getting it, but will likely get Control for Xbox just because it’s a bit cheaper there.

Some good deals on a couple Switch titles I picked up on a whim with my Gold Points:

XONiC - normally $29.99, currently $0.89 (!!) -- This seems like a fun music game with a solid soundtrack. Very arcade. My only real complaint at this point is that the controls feel a little too complicated (and it's the first game I've ever played where I felt a symmetrical control pad layout would make it easier). But I've already gotten my money's worth from it for sure. Under a dollar is ridiculously cheap!

Crayola Scoot - normally $29.99, currently $2.99 -- Seems like a surprisingly decent Tony Hawk game! It has color-tagging elements of Splatoon so the aesthetic and general gameplay style are great for kids especially. I mainly bought it because I thought Isaac would love it. So far it seems promising but I'm a little wary of the controls being fairly complicated. My four-year-old that loves Splatoon will have a bit of an uphill battle learning it, but we'll see. Either way, another super cheap game that shows promise.

Those four games for under $40 USD total is amazing. So much awesomeness for less than Yooka Laylee's newest game physical. That's something.

Apparently Resident Evil 2 (Remake) is $29.99 on PSN right now. Maybe other shops too? WELL worth it.
