The wait is nearly over. The game is being detailed left and right by the media,… the amiibo have been announced,… and the Nintendo Switch is imminent… The Legend of Zelda series has been a special one for Nintendo fans since it began and the next chapter starts on March 3rd, 2017.
A hero's tale begins anew. Open your eyes and see what is true.
Fun Facts: Vast open world where you could go find the end of the game within 15 minutes… but you won't survive it. Weapons have stats and durability. Climb pretty much anything you want. Eat and cook to regain health. Full voice-acting for all except Link
Lets use this thread to discuss the game on the Nintendo Switch. To help hold the tide of the wait, here are some beautiful screenshots and links for your perusal.
My wife recently started playing again in hopes to officially beat the game. She beat all four beasts and was near the end anyway. Watching her play was so fun last night. The game is an enigma of beauty. And when she let me do a Major Trial of Strength for her, well that was hella fun. I'm interested maybe starting a new file... Or perhaps playing Master Mode more. I only just started that file a while back.
Totally agree. I hate that guy with more passion than maybe I've ever hated a video game character. Get. Off. My. Freaking. Property.
If there was one flaw in BotW it was this one.
EDIT: Nice! You can get him to stay away if you just never talk to him in the other town? I now know the entire point of my current BotW play-through. Sorry Zelda, new goal.
I could not find the Goron whose name ends in "son" during my first playthrough. Had to have a friend give me some hints during my second. I never actually took the official trail to Goron City, I just cut through the mountains!
The one thing I was bummed/surprised I never saw without a guide was that Kakariko Village shrine that you need to complete all the Kakariko quests in order to get to. I released the fireflies next to the firefly girl during the daytime! I didn't know I needed to follow her home at night!
I looked up maybe the last six shrines or so because I figured the reward for clearing them would justify ruining the permanent mystery for myself, but the reward was pretty tame, so I wish I had just saved them.
I did everything on me own except for a few of the sidequests, though a couple of those was just looking up how to start them. Some of them are pretty obscure.
Watching all those arrows being used was both thrilling and painful. Thrilling because arrows are the best, painful because I am constantly out of them and envious of your stock. :P
I used to keep my numbers down intentionally (more of a survival feel) for the longest time but then realized there's no real sense in not having a stockpile. If you wanna be more effective against the enemies - especially in MM - you pretty much need to. Goes a long way.
Ice arrows have got to be my favorite. Electric is good for making them drop their stuff. Not sure what fire is good for aside from burning shields away.
