I played a few minutes of it in VR. Didn't get sick. However maybe I would if I kept playing... I'll have to dedicate more time later.

I started the game again this week, using my wife's account so I could keep my old save. I couldn't bring myself to erase my beloved horse Habakkuk.

So far this game does not disappoint, even a second time through. So much fun.

It's a game I can and do come back to any time. I have less than 20 shrines left to find which will then leave me with both DLCs to complete.

@J.K. Riki Aren't there multiple save files?
05/03/19, 22:00
@Mop it up

I saw no option for that, no.

Long gone are the NES days!

After looking into it, it seems I was confused about how the game can save multiple instances of the same file, but it can only have the one. Weird stuff! It also looks like it can have a separate save for the Master Mode, but if you want normal again then yeah, gotta use a different user if you don't want to overwrite.
05/03/19, 23:24
Wait Mop is right, MM and Normal mode are separate so you should be able to play a game of MM without touching your other save.
05/03/19, 23:33
Good to know! I will probably do MM for my 3rd playthrough, but this second time I want to learn and master the parry rush and stuff. I am terrible at the game.

@J.K. Riki
I didn't get it for a while either. For both of them you just gotta wait til the very last frames before they strike you.

There's at least one move that I find near impossible to parry or dodge and it's whenever Bokoblins or Moblins do their sudden spear stab. They have no tell, no anticipation. They just do it. I'm not even sure if it can be properly parried or perfect dodged.

Then there's the Lynel which I still find incredibly hard to deal with. I'm shook to take on a Gold Lynel.
05/04/19, 03:24
Funnily enough, I found the Lynel to be the easiest enemy to counterattack. I could get it to work even when Link wasn't actually in range of the attack.

I noticed you had booted the game up a few days ago - by trippy do U mean barf 🤢 bag required ? I heard it makes people sick

Well, it didn't make *me* sick. But it was definitely trippy. Like, far out, man.

I got up at 6AM today and was playing BotW before breakfast. Haven't done that with a video game since my youth!
05/08/19, 23:05
You know, I just now realized that "Breath of the Wild" is a completely obscure name for this Zelda game. All the others had some tie in to the general story or item or something. BotW is a beautiful name that I love, but it sure doesn't tie in with the naming conventions of previous Zelda games!

Ha ha, today I found a whole section of the map (north west) that I had literally never seen and didn't know was there. A whole tower and everything. Amazing.

It's also freezing cold and terrible. But once I get some gear to stop me from dying, I'm looking forward to exploring a whole new section of Hyrule!
06/18/19, 05:41
@J.K. Riki Take a fire-enchanted weapon with you and you'll be nice and toasty!
06/18/19, 05:46
@J.K. Riki

Good ol' Hebra! It's one of the most oppressive regions in the game so pack warm.
06/18/19, 06:10
Hebra and basically all snow areas in the game look way too muddy and gross much of the time. Kills my interest in being there.
06/22/19, 00:29
Snow areas are my favorite, it feels like you're at the edge of the world and there's so much cool endgame stuff in Hebra I missed on my first playthrough.
06/22/19, 07:14
I didn't mind one snow area but then there was another pretty big one and like... it didn't really have anything new to it nor much of anything interesting in it. Felt like the least necessary area in the game.
06/22/19, 08:26
The only snow area I had seen before was on top of a mountain and it felt a bit small. This one (Hebra, I guess, as people have been saying) feels epic, so I'm excited to explore it more. Once I get some gear that means I won't die, that is. :P
