The wait is nearly over. The game is being detailed left and right by the media,… the amiibo have been announced,… and the Nintendo Switch is imminent… The Legend of Zelda series has been a special one for Nintendo fans since it began and the next chapter starts on March 3rd, 2017.
A hero's tale begins anew. Open your eyes and see what is true.
Fun Facts: Vast open world where you could go find the end of the game within 15 minutes… but you won't survive it. Weapons have stats and durability. Climb pretty much anything you want. Eat and cook to regain health. Full voice-acting for all except Link
Lets use this thread to discuss the game on the Nintendo Switch. To help hold the tide of the wait, here are some beautiful screenshots and links for your perusal.
After looking into it, it seems I was confused about how the game can save multiple instances of the same file, but it can only have the one. Weird stuff! It also looks like it can have a separate save for the Master Mode, but if you want normal again then yeah, gotta use a different user if you don't want to overwrite.
Good to know! I will probably do MM for my 3rd playthrough, but this second time I want to learn and master the parry rush and stuff. I am terrible at the game.
@J.K. Riki I didn't get it for a while either. For both of them you just gotta wait til the very last frames before they strike you.
There's at least one move that I find near impossible to parry or dodge and it's whenever Bokoblins or Moblins do their sudden spear stab. They have no tell, no anticipation. They just do it. I'm not even sure if it can be properly parried or perfect dodged.
Then there's the Lynel which I still find incredibly hard to deal with. I'm shook to take on a Gold Lynel.
Funnily enough, I found the Lynel to be the easiest enemy to counterattack. I could get it to work even when Link wasn't actually in range of the attack.
You know, I just now realized that "Breath of the Wild" is a completely obscure name for this Zelda game. All the others had some tie in to the general story or item or something. BotW is a beautiful name that I love, but it sure doesn't tie in with the naming conventions of previous Zelda games!
Ha ha, today I found a whole section of the map (north west) that I had literally never seen and didn't know was there. A whole tower and everything. Amazing.
It's also freezing cold and terrible. But once I get some gear to stop me from dying, I'm looking forward to exploring a whole new section of Hyrule!
Snow areas are my favorite, it feels like you're at the edge of the world and there's so much cool endgame stuff in Hebra I missed on my first playthrough.
I didn't mind one snow area but then there was another pretty big one and like... it didn't really have anything new to it nor much of anything interesting in it. Felt like the least necessary area in the game.
The only snow area I had seen before was on top of a mountain and it felt a bit small. This one (Hebra, I guess, as people have been saying) feels epic, so I'm excited to explore it more. Once I get some gear that means I won't die, that is. :P
