So anybody else getting server communication errors trying to download the update? First time that has ever happened. I guess too many people want to get their Joker on.
So far the two user created stages I've fought on in online were a simulation of a man penetrating a woman with a moving wiener and a plane crashing into the second World Trade Center building while the first was already in flames. Smash is really classy with this update!
Now that I've played with Joker a bit more, I like him! His normal state is decent and knowing you will get to summon eventually and just start dominating is pretty cool.
Finally defeated Galeem, and wow! You know how usually the internet is terrible about spoiling things, but every now and then you'll be blown away at how everybody managed to collectively keep something huge a secret? This is definitely one of those times!
The more I play, the more I enjoy the little metagame of managing little Nintendo character art. I still wish Spirits mode was balanced so that power level didn't play a role--experience systems need to go die along with achievements--but it's easy enough to equip a spirit whose power level matches your opponents' pretty closely.
That was such a good reveal. I certainly wasn't expecting it. The fact that the Internet hasn't spoiled it en masse almost makes me wonder how well known the twist even is... Or maybe the masses just don't think much of it in the face of a game that already has the built-in "twist" of its impossibly gigantic roster.
I've never even heard of there being a twist in Smash and now I kind of want to go spoil it for myself because I'm never going to finish that single player stuff.
Balance patch coming this week. Say goodbye to your replays!
Ver 3.1.0 of Super #SmashBrosUltimate is coming this week! This update will include fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. Convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating. pic.twitter.com/3IUqibNCD3
So with E3 around the corner, are we going to get a DLC character announcement and/or launch during the E3 Direct? My money's on Muddy Mole being playable on June 11th!
I have a prediction for the new characters: 2B from Nier: Automata. It'd be totally out of left field and I don't see anyone predicting it!
Then again, she's only in one game and doesn't really represent a timeless franchise. She'd be a weird inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Infinity in twenty years.
Also, Master Hand and Crazy Hand have some pretty cool moves on 9.9! Finally beat it with Lucina, partly by getting lucky with items, partly by being able to counter the CPUs' attacks because of how aggressive they get on high difficulties.
