Lets use this thread to discuss the game on the Nintendo Switch. To help hold the tide of the wait, here are some beautiful screenshots and links for your perusal.
Maybe I'm just being impatient but after almost 60 hrs (of pure enjoyment ) I've only completed one beast out of the four and I haven't unlocked a single memory out of the 12. The beast was the Zora mission so my first memory can be considered a bonus one - a fish was in complete love with me. How sweet. 😉 When did you peeps start unlocking those memories ? . I'm looking forward to getting the DLC packs soon - mainly for the map tracking feature. Maybe that will help me out.
@Smerd You may want to return to Impa and talk to her one more time. If I'm remembering correctly, I missed a step in that sidequest that actually activated the memory spots for me to use.
Really hating the opening trial of the Champions Ballad. Mostly because of this one Shrine full of spikes. I can't climb the platform right near the end and have gotten to it about 10 times now. Pissing me off majorly.
Agreed, the shrine with the spikes was a real pain in the ass. I'm through the "die in one hit" portion of the Champions Ballad, and couldn't be more thrilled about that. Not the best way to start off the DLC, lol!
@TheBigG753 I am getting Mario soon so I probably won't be going back to Zelda for a while. Glad to hear it gets better though because I really want to play the new Shrines and such. Kinda burnt out on Zelda for now though as I just finished all the shrines just before this DLC pack came out.
I haven't really progressed too far into the main quest yet I don't think because it's so easy to just get sidetracked into exploring and finding shrines and such.
I need better armour though since I still only have early armour, and I need to find where Hestu went because I am in desperate need of inventory space!
Started up the second DLC pack today, and am currently running all around Hyrule looking for treasure! Coming back to this game after a break is a mindblowing experience, and now I feel like I don't want to play anything else again, ever. I know I will, but right now Zelda is everything. Zero, why does NW's rating system only go up to ten? Spinal Tap that shit now!
I had some frustrating moments in the spike shrine, I feel like the hit boxes on the swinging pendulums were a little wonky, I kept getting hit and falling when I thought I was clear and when I finally made it Link appeared to clip right though the edge of one, lol.
@carlosrox Holy shit, I am officially a failure as a Zelda player and as a human being. I have never even tried using a slab of meat as bait like that. And I keep telling everyone how much like Zelda 1 this game is.
@r_hjort I've only done it a few times but very very recently in my playtime. I had no fucking idea it would work as bait. I forget if I found out on my own by accident or if I read about it.
This was definitely my most noteworthy use of it though. I had tried other times and got boring results or it didn't work out at all how I'd hoped.
Picked this up again earlier this week, working on finishing up a few last things. Got about 4 side-quests left, finally did the horse obstacle course thing, and slowly upgrading all my armour to max. Still finding new stuff as well, its crazy how much is here.
Glad to hear it. My nephew just got this for his birthday and it was fun seeing and hearing him play through it. He was having trouble with the Vah Ruta boss but I'm sure he'll get it in time. It's great when people play Zelda. Makes the world a better place.
