I used to play Salmon Run all the time. Should get back to doing that, 'cause I loooove it! Don't think we play at the same times very much though.

@Anand
Sadly my ISP kind of sucks too, but I'm definitely considering getting an ethernet adapter now.

Splatfest is here!!!

ACTION VS COMEDY! WHO WILL WIN!?

It seems that Comedy (at least at this moment) is favored in popularity. I've seen them half the time this evening. I'm on Team Comedy.

Team Comedy over here too. Played three or four matches and had a great time, but then my internets started acting up again, so now I don't feel like playing, in case I start losing connections again. Might log on for a few matches before I go to bed though.

Not sure which team is more popular over here, 'cause I've seen about as many from both teams. It's always nice not having to play your own team due to a lack of opponents.

I don't know now either. After the two matches last night, I didn't fight against my own at all today.

@DrFinkelstein That's a bummer. Well, if you ever find yourself in the mood for Salmon Sprint, you know where to find me!

@r_hjort Yeah, if I remember rightly we're in pretty different timezones. I think the evening for me might be middle of the night for you.

@Mop it up
Yeah, I'm at least six hours ahead of you.

Dont you play other modes also? There's always some League Battle we could do or Turf War.

This was a crazy 'fest! I managed to get a full team together so I participated in the team matches. Unfortunately, I suspect that it's mostly the more hardkorrr players who tend to team up for 'fests, because the opponents were a lot more fierce than in solo. I could never put in the time or energy to be as skilled as these crazies. It probably wasn't the best choice for more casual players such as ourselves, but it was fun nonetheless, and one of my friends streamed the games from his perspective.

Perhaps for the next fest, we could try getting a team of NegWorlders together? Could be tricky though with time zones and everything...

@DrFinkelstein I don't do Turf because there's no friend teams. But I do try League from time to time. The problem is that we tend to have three of us available and Leagues have to be 2 or 4, so we go to Salmon Run instead. So if we had a fourth join us then yeah, I could do League.

Wow, I've fared so, so much better in the Splatfests than in the Party Crashes.

Congratulations to #TeamComedy for pulling out the win! We were not as popular, but we sure fought hard!

Considering that all of the big summer blockbusters are action movies, I'm not surprised that Action won popularity.

I am a little surprised Comedy had more wins though. The Action team was no joke! We were almost the laughing stock of the town.

This clip reminds me of the 'fest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoPdKmmAjAA

The next NA Splatfest starts February 16th at 9PM PST, and it is Money vs. Love! A sort of Valentine's Day theme, I guess...?

In any case, I and my usual team are going with the Love side, however we're not sure if all four of us will be available to play at the same time. If anyone here is interested in trying out a Splatfest team, choose the Love side and perhaps we can play together. We don't care about which side wins or any of that, we just like to play teams.

I mean... how many people will actually pick money? Hmm.
02/13/18, 03:02
@Zero

If people were voting truthfully, a lot would pick money. Just look at our world.

I'm actually surprised how many people on my Twitter feed were honest about it and said straight up their choice was money.
02/13/18, 05:11
@Zero

Money all day.
02/13/18, 14:00
I think a more interesting theme would have been flowers vs. chocolates.

@Zero You haven't forgotten about capitalism, right? ;)
02/13/18, 19:16
@Mop it up

Chocolates for sure. Flowers die and are dumb and smell bad. But mostly they're dumb. And don't taste like chocolate.
02/13/18, 19:47
I guess this next theme is basically people that are single vs people that are married.
02/13/18, 23:49
@TriforceBun

I dunno! I know a bunch of single people who are longingly hopeful for love and (a few too many) married folks who are pretty darn obsessed with money.

I must say, it's been far more interesting to see that I expected. I would have guessed this theme was not very compelling, but here we are!

I still like Ketchup/Mayo the best so far, ha ha.

Looks like the next North American Splatfest is the age-old debate of Chicken vs Egg.

My friends and I have decided on Team Egg, and as with last time we're not sure if all of us can make it at the same time. Is there anyone here who would like to try joining our Team Egg team? We don't really care about winning, just having fun, so anyone is welcome.
