Ploot and DrFinkelstein Discuss The July 6th, 2017 Nintendo Direct about Splatoon 2
@Mop it up I used to play Salmon Run all the time. Should get back to doing that, 'cause I loooove it! Don't think we play at the same times very much though.
@Anand Sadly my ISP kind of sucks too, but I'm definitely considering getting an ethernet adapter now.
Team Comedy over here too. Played three or four matches and had a great time, but then my internets started acting up again, so now I don't feel like playing, in case I start losing connections again. Might log on for a few matches before I go to bed though.
Not sure which team is more popular over here, 'cause I've seen about as many from both teams. It's always nice not having to play your own team due to a lack of opponents.
This was a crazy 'fest! I managed to get a full team together so I participated in the team matches. Unfortunately, I suspect that it's mostly the more hardkorrr players who tend to team up for 'fests, because the opponents were a lot more fierce than in solo. I could never put in the time or energy to be as skilled as these crazies. It probably wasn't the best choice for more casual players such as ourselves, but it was fun nonetheless, and one of my friends streamed the games from his perspective.
Perhaps for the next fest, we could try getting a team of NegWorlders together? Could be tricky though with time zones and everything...
@DrFinkelstein I don't do Turf because there's no friend teams. But I do try League from time to time. The problem is that we tend to have three of us available and Leagues have to be 2 or 4, so we go to Salmon Run instead. So if we had a fourth join us then yeah, I could do League.
The next NA Splatfest starts February 16th at 9PM PST, and it is Money vs. Love! A sort of Valentine's Day theme, I guess...?
In any case, I and my usual team are going with the Love side, however we're not sure if all four of us will be available to play at the same time. If anyone here is interested in trying out a Splatfest team, choose the Love side and perhaps we can play together. We don't care about which side wins or any of that, we just like to play teams.
I dunno! I know a bunch of single people who are longingly hopeful for love and (a few too many) married folks who are pretty darn obsessed with money.
I must say, it's been far more interesting to see that I expected. I would have guessed this theme was not very compelling, but here we are!
Looks like the next North American Splatfest is the age-old debate of Chicken vs Egg.
My friends and I have decided on Team Egg, and as with last time we're not sure if all of us can make it at the same time. Is there anyone here who would like to try joining our Team Egg team? We don't really care about winning, just having fun, so anyone is welcome.
