– Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year awards, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open-world masterpiece where you can be anyone and do anything. And now, with the power of the Nintendo Switch system, you can play it anywhere – at home or on the go. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim brings to life a complete virtual world for you to explore any way you choose, including features new to this version of the game like using motion controls and outfits and gear from compatible Legend of Zelda series amiibo figures (sold separately).

Battle Chef Brigade – In the fantasy realm of Victusia, the members of the elite Battle Chef Brigade are revered for their ability to skillfully take down monsters and transform their kills into delicious cuisine. But being a part of the Brigade isn’t easy: Chefs from across Victusia must vie for their spot in a high-stakes competition. Follow two contestants, Mina and Thrash, as their journeys through the tournament unfold. In order to become a Brigadier you’ll need to hunt monsters with combo-based attacks and prepare your freshly caught ingredients in puzzle-based cooking challenges to serve up winning dishes to the judges – all while the round clock ticks down. The Battle Chef Brigade game will be available on Nov. 20.

Battle Chef Brigade was made by a bunch of people I know! It looks pretty interesting too. Check it out!

I still think it probably wasn't the best plan releasing so soon after Mario and such.

Man Switch is getting like 10 to 15 indie games a week nowadays. If and when I finally get my game out there it probably won't stand out much.

@Zero

Right? (About the indie 10 to 15 games a week, not about your game.) I thought I wanted the Virtual Console (and I still do), but there's more than enough to play right now. It's ridiculous in a good way.

Pretty much all I need from Virtual Console right now is Mother 3.

@Zero

That would be nice...I just want all the retro goodness on here.

I know I keep going on about this, but there are just too many games for me to play right now. I'm playing Mario, Doom and Bomberman right now, with DLC for Zelda and ARMS that I haven't tried yet, and then there's all this goodness this week.

Skyrim's in the mail, I want to support Two Tribes and get RIVE, I can't not double dip on VVVVVV, Dead Synchronicity seems interesting, and Battle Chef Brigade seems weird in a good way.

Good thing I don't have a life!

Salamander is the sequel to Life Force, right? Or is it just Life Force? Regardless, it's wasted on the Wii U!

Anyway, I'm intrigued by Skyrim, even though it probably isn't my type of game. River City anything and Rive are also on the radar. But I'm most excited about Worms WMD next week.

@Anand
I think they're the same game. Over here in Europe it went under the name Life Force: Salamander.

I've been playing RIVE on Switch, got a code from the dev. It's really good! No performance issue whatsoever docked or undocked.

It's an overwhelming game, with things coming at you from every direction. I wasn't sure I enjoyed it that much until I started replaying levels: I had this Viewtiful Joe moment where I'm fumbling the first time through, and when I go back later, I realize "Oh wait, I got this".

It's definitely not Toki Tori 2, though, not in terms of structure, or the way it tells its story.

@Guillaume
I hope they bring Toki Tori 2 to the Switch in the future. I think that game deserves way more recognition and love than it got. I'd buy it again, and force everyone in the world to buy it.

@Guillaume

Sounds like my kind of game. Better add it to the list...

Skyrim is super tempting now actually. I have lots of respect for that game and I loved what I played on PS3 at launch and later on PC, even if I didn't make much of a dent in the fucking game.

Gear.Club Unlimited, eh? Is that the game that's supposed to be a racing sim? Or something like that?

That River City Rival Showdown is supposed to be pretty good. The other two River City games on 3DS are solid, so I don't expect this one to be any different.

@r_hjort
Oh. Then we need Salamander 2 on VC!

@Guillaume
Yeah, the Nindies demo on Wii U was fun. Plus, I want to reward all devs that maintain 60fps. Within reason. Seeing nearly all of these indie games on sale on PS4 at a 70% discount within a few weeks of the Switch release is kind of hard to swallow, though. Such bad timing! Unless Sony is the entity that schedules everything, I guess.

Didn't Two Tribes say that this was their last game?

@carlosrox
I have Skyrim on PS4 but I barely play it....

Yet on Switch it's super tempting because of handheld mode. Everything on Switch is better.

I got my copy of Skyrim today, and it's super tempting to start playing, but I know that I'll just put it aside in a couple of weeks when Xenoblade 2 hits. Good thing I didn't decide to get LA Noire too. Yet.

@Anand Yes, unfortunately, this is Two Tribes last game.

Battle Chef Brigade is out today.

Reviews are pretty good so far (80% between 5 reviews on Metacritic)

Support Chicago indie developers!!!

Speaking of Toki Tori 2, it's currently on sale on the US eShop for Wii U for $3.74 (75% off) for anyone who missed it. This one is worth pulling out your Wii U system from the trash!

The original Toki Tori is also 67 cents on Wii U and 3DS, still worthwhile if you never checked it out.
