Paya Work-in-Progress. Figured hey why not show it off in line art form before I ruin it with my poor color choices.

Nice!

Color can sometimes take the magic out, I agree. I love me line/rough art, it looks beautiful. I like this cleaned up version better though.

@carlosrox

Thanks!

I decided to try colors. Dunno if it's better or worse, but it's not bad, I think. At least, current-skill-me doesn't dislike it. I bet five-years-from-now-me will think it's an absolute disaster. Ah well. Onward and upward, practice makes improvement!

Considering doing shading on it, but that's like asking for trouble. So maybe I'll leave it alone for a few days and work on something else. This darn thing took me hours upon hours as it is.

I'm just before the last boss and this game is an utter triumph.

Not that they didn't get me with everything before it, but, *get em with the ending*. Hyrule Castle is...

Edit:kept me up til 6:30am, wow.

Best finale I've ever seen to a game. That was the stuff of my dreams.

No words to state how much of a triumph BOTW is.

I decided to redo the Beginner trials today for a potential upcoming video, and it turns out, you definitely don't get a chance to carry anything over to the next segment, even if you've beaten them before. So I guess for me it's really attacking the Middle ones next.

My tactic early on with those arrow-crazy bokoblins is to just paraglide over, drop, lay a bomb, fly back up, explode. It's worked mostly so far and without using weapons I don't generally have.

What did others do in those windy starting rooms for the Middle-tier?

Bombs for the first set of bokoblins near the metal crates, then I swung the metal crates down to take out at least the next archer, maybe more. Then run down and either continue with the magnesis fun or bomb them. Don't forget the chest up super high on the wall. Headshot the wizrobes while they're over the abyss and it's a one-hit kill (they fall down). If you REALLY want a fire rod, I guess kill them over land.

@Cubed777

Yeah, I was doing that Wizrobe technique. That was a treat to discover. I can't recall what room took me out last but I'll remember tomorrow probably when it happens again… lol.

Loving master mode. I look forward to getting all the DLC content!

Man there's something so cool about having a completely different second game with different abilities, weapons, taking a new path, learning even more techniques, and having low hearts/stamina again.

I absolutely love this difficulty and will be making sure I don't end up with excess hearts. I love playing with risk. I could see myself getting maybe just enough hearts for the Master Sword (maybe I'll use that Hateno Village demon thing) and cutting it off there. Well, we'll see. The Lynels kinda mess up that plan, but then again I could just make extra heart recipes in that case.

I enjoy the meta game of climbing and finding alternate routes when it rains and such. Having too much stamina just makes things too easy, I dunno. I love my challenge.

ps. I love those new floating platforms. Tons of fun. Man I'd love if there was even more of that kinda thing in the game. Transforms the gameplay of the surrounding area quite a bit.

I got a pretty lame BOTW bug or something but NPC voices have been way cut down. They make certain sounds in the game world but nothing when they're actually speaking to you. So Koroks fot example are dead silent when you find them/speak to them.

I have no idea what to do or what caused this to happen but it happened suddenly during a play session.

Anyone else?
07/21/17, 19:00
@carlosrox

Nope. Have you tried changing languages a time or two? That might sort it out.
07/21/17, 19:14
@carlosrox A Wizrobe did it.

Well I'm playing in Japanese on my second game and I thought that had something to do with it but like I said everything was fine for the longest time and it just happened mid game.

I switched the language back to English and back to Japanese again and nothing.

Am I an idiot for trying to beat Trials of the Sword with only 13 hearts?

The Final Trials are kicking my ass, I can barely make it half way because even Black Moblins can one-hit kill me, and I've looked at the list of enemies so I know what's coming, stuff a lot more dangerous than a Moblin lol.
07/26/17, 12:28
I beat a white Bokoblin on horseback with 4 hearts kn Master Mode! Booya!

@legendofalex
Hmm well the issue's been sorted out. It may have been my Switch audio settings (stereo vs surround). It's the only thing that makes any sense. I had it set to surround at my bros place and didn't change it when I got back home.
