This trailer just launched in the last few hours. I don't think we knew anything about this previously no?

It looks almost Chrono Trigger-esque but modernized. I'm certainly intrigued. I could use a good RPG like this on Switch. Check out the trailer below for the reveal and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments.

Looks nice! I am liking the art style and the general vibe.

Neat! Looks a lot like I am Setsuna which makes sense since it's the same developer. Love the fact that Square Enix is doing their part to keep the traditional turn-based RPG alive. Something like this interest me a lot more than Final Fantasy XV.

Melodramatic and melancholic, just the way I like my RPGs. Will probably get. I think the visuals could use some extra pizzazz, though.

EDIT:

teh press release said:
LOST SPHEAR will be available digitally from the PlayStationŽStore, Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, and STEAM. A physical package is now available for pre-order exclusively from the SQUARE ENIX Online Store for the PlayStationŽ4 system and Nintendo Switch. Fans who pre-order the game from the SQUARE ENIX Online Store will receive two music tracks as a gift at launch.
Physical release is now a preorder bonus? Fuck this industry, man.

That used to be my catchphrase, didn't it? Feels...like home.

Sphear, another in a long line of words that Square Enix makes up to be like a real word but it's not quite that word.

@PogueSquadron lol yep, it's a Squeenix title all right.

Looks like it would definitely scratch that classic JRPG itch, though.

Well, I went ahead and pre-ordered on Square-Enix's website. I've never done that before, and uh, wow. There are like, 17 different steps to confirm a purchase, including several verification methods and confirmation codes.

I guess that's a good thing, since payment fraud isn't exactly a rare thing when buying things online, but still. That was a process. And apparently even though everything has been confirmed by the website, I still have to wait up to 48 hours for Square's employees to check the checking of the verification, and then I'll get a confirmation email confirming the confirmation of my verified order that has been confirmed with a confirmation code that was sent to my phone.

Also coming to PS4 and Steam.

Color me interested, it's the same team that made I am Setsuna, a game that I adored.

It's nice to see a new IP from square, instead of relying on Final Fantasy. I'll probably try it at some point.

Is this related to Project Octopath Traveler? Either way it looks very nice.

@DrFinkelstein

No. Here is the payment plan according to Square's own confirmation email that I finally got:

"Please also note that we have not charged you yet. You will be notified by email before we debit your account, which will occur a few days before the delivery of your pre-order."
