Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Unusual how Nintendo's releasing Star Fox demos so far after the game's release. Maybe they were initially hesitant about doing it because they were worried it'd impact sales, but now it might drum up more interest...?

3DS had a dynamite week last week.

This week? Tumbleweeds....

@TriforceBun
I can't imagine SFZ was a huge sales success for them, I bet they are desperate to get people to at least try it.

@GameDadGrant
More like a dumpster dive, I tried to checkout Humanitarian Helicopter because it sounded like it might be cool (I sort of imagined a Choplifter clone) and found this quote on the developers website:

It is pretty well known that when a child/adult plays violent games they become more violent in life.

W. T. F? I just played Doom 2016, I must be a total psychopath that goes around ripping the arms off of people lol.

Also the game looks like crap, look at those tree sprites they obviously stole from some clip art site and then didn't even know how to create a transparent alpha channel in photoshop, looks like they tried to magic-wand the white backgrounds, ugh.

Haha, that's a pretty accurate description of that tree image. Magic wand indeed. What's up with the perspective on those buildings?

Too bad because a good "rescue" game can be rewarding and clever, like Trauma Center.

Apparently Metroid Prime: Blast Ball just launched on the eShop for free. That's something.

EDIT: I guess it's a demo? Downloading now anyway.

Okay, this is actually pretty fun. It has online and plays pretty well! Won my first match and unlocked a new paint job for my mech. Also has amiibo support though probably doesn't support ALL amiibo. I got a Mario paint job!

Yeah, I'll try Blast Ball later. Why not.

So I checked the sales page, and it looks like Thomas Was Alone and The Swapper are $1 each? Those are two solid games that are cheap as free. Go for it.

Yeah, no crap. Way to make the game pick-up and play, Nintendo.. Ever heard of Star Fox 64??

Yeah. Don't buy it.

Seriously. I can't recommend it at all.

@deathly_hallows

That inane quote is more likely to make me want to punch in whoever wrote that's face in than any video game.

That SF0 demo is a smart idea. The training is actually more manageable than the game proper, and the anime will hype people for the full product.

Whats poop about it?

@Mr_Mustache

It's boring and mostly has you drawing circles on the touch screen over and over to capture PKMN.

I don't have much to say about the game. I just can't recommend it.

Downloaded the Star Fox Zero demo and gave it a shot and I...really enjoyed myself. The controls weren't really that hard to use at all and felt pretty natural, and the way your ship actually moves is nice and smooth. Looking forward to getting it later this year and playing it through.

@Mr_Mustache
I have only played the second Pokemon Ranger game, but I had fun with it. Not really for everyone and the gameplay is pretty simplistic and frustrating sometimes.
