@GameDadGrant

I was having trouble with my shoryukens that day. I just kept punching and crouch-punching over and over. =)

Cleared through C-Team's first batch of scenarios. Moved on to Sigma and Phi on D-Team. Currently stuck in the crazy pattern overlay room.

Random hunch- Diana is the villain. She seems too sweet and innocent. ITS A TRAP.

Also Dio vs Dia(na)? Kinda similar names. And maybe it's just the art style but if I squint I can *sort* see a resemblance here...Maybe.

Just rambling anyway.

BTW did anyone choose to kill a team initially or did we all make sure they cooperated and spread the votes? I haven't seen what happens if the teams take another option...

Actually it'd be really interesting to see what happens if the vote goes completely opposite...everyone votes for the other team than the one specified by the note...the vote is still split, everyone still lives, but they all look like dicks because they all tried to betray each other and failed. lol.

@Shadowlink

The way I play this (and VLR) is to pick what I would normally pick in that scenario each time, then only go back and see the other choices once I hit a "wall." In that case, I stuck with the note at the beginning.

I was also wondering what would happen if everyone voted for the opposite team and still saved each other that way. Hmm...

WHAT DOES THE BUTTON DO?!

EDIT: I pressed it. FOR GLORY.

This game got under my skin last night. I ended up getting one of D-Team's endings (D-1 END, I think), which was actually really cool and maybe the first time the game really clicked with me as a Zero Escape title. But amidst the drama and tragedy and violence I was nervous throughout the whole thing. What set it all off was casually clicking the Status icon in the menu...WHAT THE HECK, GAME!? Why are the status profiles so freaky looking?? I typically play this in bed at night with headphones on and all the lights out (and my wife often asleep next to me) and I was pretty rattled by the whole experience. I guess that's...good? But this one seems even more horror-focused than 999, which means I can only take it in chunks.

Overall, I think I'm enjoying it though. The presentational issues aren't quite as bad when you get really involved in what's going on. I'm hoping the other teams have equally compelling stories though--D-Team is definitely my favorite right now.

@TriforceBun

Yeah, glad I wasn't the only one that noticed those. What's up with those profile pics in the Status screen? So weird...

@GameDadGrant

Yeah, they're even freakier if the character is dead. They change based on that. I need to watch where I'm tapping in the menu late at night. Ugh...

Just cleared the room with the funky alien numbers. That was kind of fun.

Although I made it a bit more complicated for myself when I tried to manually convert a number from Base 10 to Base 13. That wasn't really necessary .

Just got Q-End 1. That was gross.

I'm actually pretty surprised I found the answer to one of the game's mysteries so early on, actually.

Game arrived today! Hopefully I can clear out some time in my schedule to play it soon!!
07/12/16, 08:19
Finished the game in about 19 hours or so. What a ride. Some mixed feelings about the whole thing, but... altogether well done.

No spoilers, but, does this game give a sense of closure and resolution to the trilogy? I feel like someone said it would and I know games 1 and 2 certainly left me with a lot of questions at the end!

Now that I think of it, part of me wants to replay 999 and VLR before I start ZTD. hmmmmmm!!

@NinSage

Direct answer to your question without any context at all, so 100% spoiler free.

Kind of.

A little more context without spoiling anything about ZTD but with a reference to the ending of VLR.

The main goal established at the end of VLR is generally accomplished.

@Kal-El814

I generally liked it too but it certainly didn't leave me with the sense of wonder that VLR did. But I guess that was to be expected.

My game FINALLY came in, and the watch did not come with it. A couple weeks back they said the watch would be sent separately so I wonder what took them so long to send the game?
Aaaaaanyway, I hope to dive in soon! And after all the fun conversation is done too! YAY!

This game is just trolling me now.

Started on Q-Team's set of fragments. Picked the one that leads you to Zero's study with a lovely collection of deadly weapons.

Needless to say everyone ends up pointing them at each other.

So I gotta make a choice on who to kill.

Kill Zero? Nah too easy. Won't let me.
Kill Akane and spare the team? Nope can't access that choice.
I hate all these people. Use the grenade launcher to kill Q. Maybe EVERYONE will get blown up. Nope, need to know Q's real name.

Ugh fine. Kill Mira then. She annoys me. NOPE. Eric sacrifices himself. THEN Mira kills Q anyway.

I finally make a legit choice and the game does the exact freaking opposite of what I wanted! Fuck you game.
07/14/16, 06:23
@Shadowlink

I just killed Eric. That whiny bitch
07/14/16, 06:44
@Shadowlink

Hah, I did something similar there, except I picked Eric pretty early on, because he's my least-favorite, easily.

Actually, the very first choice I picked (besides the dog, because I always pick the dog ) was "Nobody," the results of which only made me dislike Eric more.
07/14/16, 06:44
Almost forgot, Mira seemed to have a weird fixation on Eric's heart...wonder what that's about.

*is suspicious*

If you kill anyone, make sure to eat their heart, to gain their courage! Their rich, tasty courage...

@TriforceBun

I decided to go back to the original execution decision for Team C, and vote for Team Q instead.

Their head asplode. Cathartic

Bunch of jerks..
