So there's lots of Xenoblade threads running around. Time for an official thread for impressions game discussion etc.
Whether you're a lucky resident of Europe or Australia, a North American who's decided to flip the bird to Nintendo and import, or even someone who simply wants to live vicariously through the experiences of others, this is the place you want to be!
I'm now at the nopon village, and I don't care if the Wii's power isn't all that great, this is a fantastic looking game. The art really excels it. Makes me eagerly await X.
Finally finished this game after 126 hours. About 30 of those were played over the past three weeks, when I resumed playing after a 14 months hiatus (my save file showed I hadn't touched it since September 2014.
Gosh, I'm glad it's over. Great game, very impressive scope, but goddamn, I can't play too many games as long as this.
So I picked this back up once Gamepad control was a thing...glad that I did. I just wrapped up meeting with the High Entia Emperor and I'm thinking Shulk and company head on to Prison Island next.

I'm at 185 hours in X and I don't feel like I'm close to done
Yeah, and I'm betting they'll go on sale around Thanksgiving or Christmas (if not sooner for a summer sale). All Wii Virtual Console games work like that. Very convenient. The only bummer is the lack of Miiverse integration.
Truckin' along pretty well. I went from starting Prison Island yesterday to almost infiltrating Galahad Fortress...seeing Fiora and Mumkhar wasn't as surprising as I thought it would be, but I kind of assumed Mumkhar was Metal Face given the similarities of their voices and fighting styles. I always guessed Fiora wasn't really dead from the get-go...but poor Melia. She's fallen hard for Shulk and he doesn't seem to give a rip.
I'm still at it, and I'm working through Agniratha right now. I'm working on the time-sensitive sidequests because I feel like those need to get done soon...
Man, the atmosphere and the music still suck me in.
