I too kinda want to play Persona Q, but I'd like to experience Persona 3 first. But I rarely have the time or patience to play an 80 hour JRPG either. I think it got made into an anime and/or movie, maybe I'll check those out. And since Persona Q is an Atlus game, you know it'll be on sale every other week.


So nothing for me this week. That's okay, my eShop wallet is going to be emptied by Super Mario Maker next week anyway.

They should port Excite Truck to Wii U, it would look fantastic in HD, and they could use the WUG in really cool ways, like it could show the rear-view or even have a customizable camera that could show you whatever angle you choose (I'd point it straight down from the bottom of the truck so when you do those ridiculous jumps like 400 feet in the air you seen the teeny world below you haha.)

But alas, the Mario Maker cometh and in it's path all will be laid to waste, so I guess we don't really need any new games, not now and perhaps not ever again.

I am definitely pro-ExciteBots. A great racer that really deserved to grow into its own franchise.

I greatly enjoyed ExciteTruck as well, but I think Bots really took that (sub?)series and gave it a bit more personality, embracing the funky nature of the gameplay.

Miss playing Bots online...

I liked both ExciteWii games a ton. Excitebots' Poker Race specifically was very underappreciated, I thought. The new mid-race minigames were hit-and-miss, though, so I'm not sure which of the two games I like better.

It's fine, the tracks were well designed and looked cool, the trucks looked like cool Tonka jeeps from the 70s or something, I also just like trucks, trucks are cool.

Excitebots I found offensively bad, just look that clown-face, it's nightmare fuel.

Excitebots was fun but I bought it at sort of a weird point where so many other games took my time that I barely played it. I should get back into it during a Backlaugust or something some time.

I would have loved Vs. ExciteBike back in the 90s, but I think it's too late now. Might still check it out someday out of curiosity.

ExciteTruck and 'Bots were both great. Bots has the better gameplay, but they may have gone a little too crazy with it; I was certainly no fan of its vehicle designs. My most-used vehicle was actually the one and only truck. Of course, ExciteTruck is also one of only two games I know of that allowed for custom soundtracks, a neat feature that I wish became a standard.

I'm still disappointed Excitebots never hit Europe, 'cause I had a blast with Excite Truck! Loved the mechanics and the tracks. The vehicles lacked personality, and the music kind of annoyed me at times, but none of that mattered when I was doing super tree runs or flying high over the hills in my plum crazy coloured car. Wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to Excite Truck at some point.

Custom soundtracks were the main reason that I played my Xbox 360. Immersion has its place, but being able to listen to whatever you want while you while away the time with arcadey games like racers and Spelunky was awesome. An incredibly important feature for me.

Also, I don't care about immersion.
