Kirby Kirby Kirby, he's the star of the show!

Return to Dream Land is great. Squeak Squad is pretty good. I don't remember Kirby 64 being especially good, but I replayed a little bit of it recently on the Dream Collection and it's at least interesting.

@r_hjort Wow, that's a deal worth moving to Europe for!

I guess it's also worth mentioning in this thread that tomorrow will see a Super Smash Bros. update with Tournaments, Youtube uploads, Peach's Castle 64 and Hyrule Castle 64 stages, and some new Mii costumes.

How much is Return to Dreamland?

@PogueSquadron I'm reading in places that it's $20, so maybe it's not getting a Week-1-Half-Off deal like the first batch of Wii games had?

So, I can download Xeodrifter on my Wii U if I already have it on my 3DS?

@sirmastersephiroth

I think so...but I'm not sure how that works.

Which is the better game, Squeak Squad or Kirby 64?

@nate38

Ooh. Are these free?

@anon_mastermind

Squeak Squad is one of the only Kirby games I haven't played. Kirby 64 is pretty good--it's got a nice 2.5-D look and some charming cutscenes. It's pretty slow-feeling, though, and is definitely more along the lines of Dream Land 2 and 3 than Super Star/Return to Dream Land. If you really enjoyed DL2 and/or 3, this is pretty much an N64 take on those.

It's also one of six games in the Kirby's Dream Collection, so you may want to consider that.

@anon_mastermind It's been a long time since I played either, so hard to say for sure. But as a general guideline, Squeak Squad is more in the vein of Kirby Super Star where you have fewer copy abilities that have multiple attacks each, while Kirby 64 is more like Dream Land 2 and 3 where you have more copy ability combinations but many are more funny than useful.

@TriforceBun I assume Peach's Castle 64 and Hyrule Castle 64 will be $2, like Dream Land 64 was.

Wait is Return to Dreamland that (relatively) new 4-player Kirby game on Wii? I always kind of wanted that for my nieces and nephews to mess around with when they came over, but it was always so expensive. How much is the VC version?!

@anon_mastermind

Squeak Squad was a better game, but Kirby 64 did have the unique method of mixing powers...it was fun, but I feel like Squeak Squad was better in my book.

@Zero

Yes. It's likely $20.

@Zero
It's a solid game! Nice multi too.

@anon_mastermind

Crystal Shards is so good! It's ridiculously easy, even by Kirby standards, but the ability mixing adds some puzzle elements and is a great gimmick I'd like to see return. The music, though, is what really makes it stand out.

Return to Dreamland is an amazing game for kids (or to play with kids). Definitely get it.

@Anand

Agreed. Played through it with my brother and two nieces. For some complicated reason not worth explaining we called the villain of the game The Prime Minister of the Frigate Orpheon.

Kirby 64 and Return to Dream Land are two of my faves in the series, I'd recommend them to anyone curious. The only thing I didn't like about Kirby 64 is how there's no co-op for some reason, Kirby games are better in co-op, and then RtDL is the opposite, being the first to offer four players. I feel it's best with two people though as there's not quite enough for four people to do.

I don't have Squeak Squad, but I'd rather track down the game card.

By the way, as I've said every week for the past several, where is Advance Wars 2!?

@TriforceBun eBay. ;)

Got Squeak Squad again (since I sold the DS cartridge) and it's still fun. I'd recommend it if you're curious.

64 is also pretty great...really a solid VC week.
