Splatoon is Nintendo's unique twist on the shooter genre. Shoot ink on both your friends and environments to win the match! Players can turn into squids and 'swim' through their team's ink color. Players can also use their team's ink color to slow down enemy movement. It's ink or be inked in this chaotic marriage of third person shooters, de Blob, and good ole fashioned paintball.
Holy crap, 63% voted for eating compared to 37% votes for sleeping! We still won more matches at 52% against Team Eating's 48%, but it wasn't enough to get us into the top spot.
Team Eating won over Team Sleeping, 159 - 141.
I still got 18 Sea Snails, and won the vast majority of my matches, so I'm happy!
Tried out the new charger... not a fan of it at all. The distance is really huge but it loses a lot on the charge speed which I prefer for this. Probably has advantages in maps that have a better standing ground. Moray Towers would be great for it I think.
Yeah same here. I started off well earlier but then it just all went downhill. It's like no matter what I did, there was always someone waiting behind me or I was facing multiple people. And those Inkzookas! Gah! They ALWAYS hit me! I can never hit anyone with them and it seems everyone else auto hits me, even when I'm sure they don't even know I'm there.
I don't play this game super-often but I really really enjoy it. I'm usually the top player in each round. I love the platforming aspects of the game, I think that's probably what gives me my advantage. I'm not used to doing so well in online shooters.
I am still only Level 9 though... maybe it gets harder later?
Yeah, I had a poor night as well, until I switched back to my shiny golden weapon. I've reached level 20, so now I'm just having fun experimenting with new weapons and clothes. Still lots of fun to be had.
The skill level definitely increases once your level starts to get higher. I was in match with all level 20 players, and it was extremely difficult for me. Players from across the Pacific are very skilled.
Camp Triggerfish! Looking forward to this for sure. I wonder if there're any other "non-urban" environments out there for Splatoon. Wouldn't it be wild to throw down ink in a grassy forest...or a desert?
I think I joined a game with level 20 Carlos and his level 20 pals last night where I was literally the only non level 20 in the match (I was at 8ish) and subsequently did really poorly and lost the match for Carlos and friends.
