Ugh, I wish Ace Attorney Trilogy was marked down even further. I'd bite at $15 or so. But $23? Eeeehhhhhh.....

I still own all the cartridges. Is there any real advantage to having these games digitally?

I think (not sure) they're improved visually somehow.

I'm in the same boat, though. I love the series but I don't really need to re-buy them.

Yeah, I believe they have new visuals for the 3DS's resolution. I too will pass on getting the upgrade. Great as those games are, I don't have the time to revisit them, and the collection feels a little incomplete without Apollo Justice or Miles Edgeworth in there.

Oh. So they only upped the res? No actual stereoscopic 3D?

Pass, then.

Come on man! The more people buy these games, the more likely Capcom will localize Ace Attorney Investigations 2 and Phoenix Wright will be a DLC character for Smash.

... now I'll be off to take my crazy pills.

@GameDadGrant Pretty sure they have 3D too.

@anon_mastermind My god you're right, it's another test! To the eShop, Nintendo fans!!!

The AA Trilogy is a downers' version of the game that came out on IOS. I think the game is missing the ability to send custom messages with the characters as well. It doesn't look as sharp but it still looks good. There's also 3D effects applied to the game, though I couldn't comment on that.

Personally I didn't really like how the characters were redrawn, but I think most people enjoyed them. I think they also sampled the audio up so it sounds a little clearer, but from I heard it sounded no different from the Wii version.

Edit: so no, the game isn't really an upres of the DS game. All of the art was redone for the iPhone's high resolution display, and then downres'd to the 3DS.

I'm in the same boat as you, I have all of the originals on cart, not sure if I need this collection, although it is tempting...

@ShadowlinkI gave up on waiting for AW2 and bought the cart yesterday.

@Shadowlink I'm a broken record on this but they still haven't gotten us Metroid Zero Mission. I think it's been out in Japan for like 6 months at this point?

@PogueSquadron

I know, it's ridiculous. Japan actually got it a year ago (June'14). We got it in March. I want to run another RGC for Zero Mission, but that means waiting for you guys to get it. Same with Advance Wars 2.

America ruins everything!

@chrisguy

Nooo, patience!

How much?

@Shadowlink

I still have the carts for both of those games! We could totally do a RGC!

I'd had Ittle Dew on my Wish List for a while, so I picked it up on sale and beat it over the weekend. Think of it as Zelda-lite with a nice looking art style. It's over pretty quick (just to beat the main quest is around 3-4 hours, doing the extras took me another 2), but it encourages speed runs.

@Shadowlink@GameDadGrant I also still have the cartridges for those two games.

I have no idea what they sell for these days though, so it might be best to wait until they release on the NA VC for the new players.

@Mop it up

That's always been my plan. But NoA is ruining it. Ruiners!

I don't remember how much it was. Right around $10, I think. It's not particularly rare or expensive over here.
