Splatoon is Nintendo's unique twist on the shooter genre. Shoot ink on both your friends and environments to win the match! Players can turn into squids and 'swim' through their team's ink color. Players can also use their team's ink color to slow down enemy movement. It's ink or be inked in this chaotic marriage of third person shooters, de Blob, and good ole fashioned paintball.
I can see how the Carbon Roller is great for Turf Wars, but I get wrecked in Splat Zones. Similarly to the paintbrush. I'll stick with the Dynamo, though I really miss unleashing the Kraken...
I don't care about my personal ranking, so it doesn't bother me if my team loses in Splat Zones. However, it would be nice to be able to play that mode with friends.
I love Splat Zones. It's so much more focused and tactical. Turf wars is ok, but it's a bunch of headless chooks in comparison. With Splat Zones it feels like territory marking has a more practical purpose than just...y'know, marking territory. And kills become much more important without outstripping the territory mechanic altogether.
Plus winning/losing has a much more interesting tug of war mechanic. Turf wars is more 'I think we're winning? Maybe?'
I did some serious damage with the Dynamo Roller last night. It's pretty devastating as I thought it would be. Very easy to get double and even triple kills with it.
I have successfully fixed my Wablet's L-Stick by myself! What a money and time saver. It took less than half an hour, and I saved myself 70 bucks and 6 weeks of no Wii U by having to send it to Nintendo. It was quite an easy fix!
I can't wait to hop on and play, and have my character STAND STILL! This is so exciting!
I bought the L-stick (actually came with both left and right!) on E-bay for 7 bucks. I got a tool kit on amazon for 12 bucks. Tools came Saturday, and the part came today. I ordered them on Wednesday, I believe.
There's a website called ifix, or something, where it gives step by step instructions, with pictures, on how to fix most electronic devices. It was incredibly easy to do. The only nerve-wracking part is paying attention to the little cables and wires connected to the components. And not losing all the screws.
I highly recommend anyone with background with Legos (no joke!) to try and fix these things yourself. It's so much cheaper!
Amazing experience. I breezed through the 3rd world of the single player, now that I'm able to do the tricky platforming parts with ease. What a refreshing experience!
Then I hopped online and did so much better! It was so nice not having to fight the controls while worrying about splatting the ground and others.
Yeah the push back is pretty bad with bubblers and the standing space isn't very big. Also I'm thinking the suction bombs could be useful there to get people off of it.
I wonder how many people will go charger. It seems like an obvious one to use to keep people off of it but as a charger, it would be pretty useless while being ON the tower.
