amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. Has there been word on when the yarn Yoshi will be up for sale or bundled with the game for North America?

Grabbed a Wario yesterday. Figured I'd go back for Sheik and Sonic today. Sheik was always special to me from Melee and Amanda likes Sonic in Smash.

I have some $5 coupon with Best Buy's website but I can't seem to use it. I was gonna grab Pikachu for a couple bucks.

And now I have Little Mac thanks to another birthday present! I am so happy, Little Mac was one I really wanted.

Does anyone need a Pac-Man, Wario, or Charizard? (maybe I need to stop buying spares at this point? it's costly)

One of the guys I talk to locally needs a Wario, he's not going to want to pay over MSRP though. I don't blame you.

Well, I certainly won't take a loss on these but unfortunately getting them even at MSRP would mean I need to cover initial shipping costs. I'll try Amazon or something maybe.

No. Look at that website. If you google it, there's not one legit site reporting it. And Nintendo wouldn't give away 13 dollar figures as part of a happy meal that costs less than $5.

Anyone heard anything about Palutena and/or Dark Pit? I hope these aren't released like the Baltimore Colts on their way to Indy: without word and under the cover of night.

A Tale of Three amiibo


I received three parcels from Amazon U.K. Was quite excited. I did pay a pretty penny for these after all...


Despite all three items being the same general thing, one of these things is not like the other.


One of these things is a damn box that would normally be reserved for a vinyl record...


Thus poor Lady Palutena was crushed. I was surprised it wasn't worse really.


I can fix it mostly but I'm super glad I don't keep these in their boxes. Luckily she is in good condition.


In the end, Dark Pit, Palutena, and Zero Suit Samus now grace my collection.
In the end, Amazon U.K. made a hell of a bone-headed decision and also, they threw in two 'Risa Pristur' icelandic candies that I did NOT order. That weirds me out and I don't want to trust it cause I don't know why the hell they are there.
