So, how are you liking this game? I think it's fun. I'm playing it in small doses. I'm on battle 42 of about 159 (for now). I already got the Mew from a special event, too. I haven't captured all the pokemon I have battled. I'm focusing on moving forward and then coming back to catch them all. I AM making exceptions for those pokemon I can actually Mega Evolve.

By the way, how does this game compare to Pokemon Trozei? I haven't played that one.

@V_s

We should get new stages tomorrow.
06/22/15, 03:37
@Jargon

I'm guessing no. The new stages usually come in when a new mega competition ends.

March 23- Lucario ends, Stages 151-165
April 13- Blastoise ends, Stages 166-180
May 11- Banette ends, Stages 181-190
June 8- Venusaur ends, Stages stages 191-200

There's usually a gap of 3-4 weeks too. In between times we get random legendarys, repeat mega comps, Safari/Daily pokemon events etc.

I'd say there's at least another week or two before new stages- You'll know it's coming when a new mega comp goes live

@Shadowlink

I thought the Blastoise was ending tomorrow.

Didn't we get new stages for the last repeat one?

@Jargon

Nope. That was the week we got the massive update with all the bug fixes, reserve hearts, etc etc. New mons were Victini, Shaymin and the Venusaur comp. No new main levels.

Where do you find/get these codes?

@DrFinkelstein@V_s

Thanks!! I'm ranked at 10,278 now, with only 2hrs 14 mins left. Yep, looks like I'll be fine. I need to get some zzzz's now, have to be up early.

edit:I figure its too late in the game to ask this, but I'll do so anyways. I'm at the 41st stage for Giratina. I was bummed that I wasn't awarded anything for completing the 40th stage. Is there anything good for completing 45th stage or any other stages, like 50,55, ect? I meant to try and go up to 100th stage, but I basically forgot to play the last several days. I just noticed there is only about 3 hours left. Bummer. I guess I could buy some jewels for hearts, but I've really tried to avoid spending money on this game. I really like the game, but I feel I could end up blowing alot of money if I'm not careful. Though, I'd hate to miss out on something really cool.

@gamewizard65

You get a Mega Turbo boost thingy at 50. That's where you should be aiming, as those are pretty rare right now. There's another one at level 100, but the difficulty spike from 51+ makes that not worth it IMO.

@Shadowlink

Thanks! What exactly does the mega turbo thing do? I don't believe I've ever used/bought one ever, if so, then I'm just not remembering.

Yea, so far I've been able to win every stage on the first try, other than one time and it was my own fault for trying something different than my normal strategy. I have 5 hearts, plus I should be able to get 5 more before time is up. If not, I guess I could spend .99 cents for 1 jewel to exchange for 5 more hearts.

Overall, I've been a little bummed that the game doesn't offer up something for every five stages completed. The one time when I received 5 jewels, I was really excited. I thought for sure there would be some other really good stuff, but alas, not much else has been awarded.

@gamewizard65

It is completely possible to spend NO money and still rock at this game. Right now, focus on playing the Meowth stage to mine for money.

Giratina, as Tim said, has a bonus at level 50 but do not worry about it. It's nothing that is game changing and we have no idea how rare or valuable it will be.

If you find yourself in a surplus of jewels, I'd say its worth waiting till you can trade in for max coinage BUT you cannot go higher than 99,999 coins so do not buy if you will go over.

@DrFinkelstein

I doubt I'll ever have that many coins. I think the max I've had is around 20,000. I end up using them quickly. I did play the meowth stage earlier, which netted me around 2200 coins. He needs to show up more often.

I saw on another site someone mentioned that this code had been released, but they didn't say what the code was, so I just checked Serebii.net:

http://serebii.net/shuffle/passcode.shtml

As for your question about the Mega Speedup, it's a one-time use item that can be given to any Mega Pokemon. The way the Mega Pokemon evolve is that after a certain number of their icons have been erased from the game board, they Mega Evolve. Each Mega Speedup that you give a Mega Pokemon makes it so that they have to erase 1 fewer icon in order to Mega Evolve.

So for example, Kangaskhan Mega Evolves after you've erased 16 of its icons. But if you give a Mega Speedup to Kangaskhan, it will permanently start Mega Evolving at 15 erased icons instead of 16. And you can give Kangaskhan up to 8 Mega Speedups total.

As of right now though, only 3 Mega Speedups have been made available. Nintendo gave everyone one for free in an update, you get one for free when you beat Level 50 of Giratina, and you get one for free when you beat Level 100 of Giratina.

@V_s

Thanks for the explanation!

I guess I must have used the one I got for free, but I honestly don't remember having or using it.

I'm not going to try for level 50. Level 46 starts out with all the pokemon are iced up, except for two center rows. I don't feel like blowing what coins I do have on disruption delays, ect. I tried level 46 and just barely missed completing it. Plus, I'm no expert on which pokemon work best against each other. I always use the optimize button, unless I'm trying to power up a certain pokemon to the next level. Pretty much, I feel I just complete many levels by pure luck. I do try my best when making a move that results in two or more sets of (three or more) pokemon attacking the pokemon on the upper screen.

I'm down to only 4 hearts, so no way I can beat level 50 without spending money and I don't feel like staying up for another hour or more to complete level 50 for a powerup that doesn't sound all that helpful, especially since I don't remember having or using the free one.
06/22/15, 06:56
@gamewizard65

It's not in the regular items list. When you are choosing your Pokemon, it's in the top right corner. It looks like a piece of candy. You might still have it.
06/22/15, 07:22
@Jargon

And it's worth noting that it only appears when you're in the Pokemon selection screen right before a battle (accessed through the Pokeball icon); it doesn't show up in the Pokemon selection screen when you enter it through the Notebook icon (or whatever you want to call that).

New Safari. I've caught four of them so far: Electrike, Daramuka, Darminatan and Manectric. Been using Slowbro, Heatran and Yveltal.

Also caught Manaphy on my first try.

Edit: And now I've caught Stantler. Guess that's everybody. 5 Pokemon in 5 tries.

Pro tip: Do not use Manaphy for Meowth grinding. It will not end well. Pretty cool power though.
06/22/15, 12:06
Caught Manaphy first try, but I'm not having as much luck with the Safari Zone. Over the course of 6 hearts, I've managed to encounter (and catch) only three of them. I still haven't encountered Electrike or Manectric.
06/22/15, 18:33
@Jargon

What are these shenanigans? Those aren't even super effective! I had to use a great ball on Electrike.

Still haven't seen Manetric either. Caught the others though.

And Manaphy took an Attack Up and a Great Ball. Bah.
06/22/15, 23:14
I've used a shit-ton of Great Balls on all these bastards. I just have Darmantian left. So I changed my team to Water Strong pokemon to make quick work if I ever see him again. He was tough!
06/22/15, 23:56
@Shadowlink

When the player is super effective, the Pokemon don't need to be. I did clearly get lucky with them all showing up in a row though.

Obviously you guys want to catch them all but make sure you definitely get Manectric because the next competition is apparently for his Mega Stone.
06/23/15, 00:12
@DrFinkelstein

Ground types are strong against the lot (except Stantler), but yeah, my water types have slightly higher power levels.

But I already have the fire types (They're easy), so ground default it is.

@Jargon

And of course that's the one I'm missing. Bah.

The other little bastard kept freezing my mons. Toughest of the 4 so far. How does the mega douche play?
