3D Thunder Blade
– Blast through the skies in this re-mastered classic from SEGA. Control your helicopter and destroy enemies while navigating skylines, treacherous caves and enemy bases.

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains – Join Eren, Mikasa and the Scout Regiment as they defend the Walls in Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. If you can’t do it alone, recruit your friends and go Titan hunting through the online co-op mode. As the footsteps of the Titans grow closer, will you hide in fear or become humanity’s last hope?

Nintendo eShop on Wii U

Nihilumbra
– Nihilumbra is a puzzle platformer that tells the story of Born, a being from the Void that wants to find the meaning of its own existence. Each color you find in the game will allow you to paint the landscape with your hands, altering its properties. Purchase Nihilumbra for the introductory price of $7.99 until 8:59 a.m. PT on May 28.

Ultratron – Experience the fun game play of this old-school arcade favorite, updated for the 21st century, with unique upgrades, player-responsive difficulty and a subtle tactics system. Purchase Ultratron for the introductory price of $8.49 until 8:59 a.m. PT on May 26.

Virtual Console on Wii U

Mega Man Battle Network 3 White & Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
– Lan and Mega Man are ready to prove they’re the strongest in the next tournament! But there seems to be a more sinister plan behind the event. Game content is the same for Mega Man Battle Network 3 White and Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue, but NetNavi chips and other items may differ.

New Super Mario Bros. – This Nintendo DS game introduced the now-classic New Super Mario Bros. series! Princess Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser Jr. … again! Run, jump and stomp your way across eight worlds as you smash through your foes and save the day. And then take a break from the adventure to play mini-games in four fun-filled categories.

The original New Super Mario Bros! It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of its followups, but it's still a solid game, especially for $10 or whatever DS games cost on the Wii U VC. I wonder if all those touch-screen minigames hold up. It's too bad you can't do multiplayer on Wii U, that game had a great Mario vs. Luigi mode, and I believe most of the touch-screen minigames were adapted for multiplayer as well.

I'll have to check out this Capcom sale. Wonder if any of the Mega Man games will be on sale. I bought 5, 6, and 7 when they went on sale last time, maybe now I can complete the NES set.

Cautiously curious about Attack on Titan. Anyone heard anything about those? Any impressions?

I'm also interested in buying those exact same games, with the addition of Mega Man 3.

Pretty good timing on NSMB: it came out in the US nine years ago tomorrow. I still remember going to Best Buy with three friends and all of us getting the first new 2D Mario game in 14 years (15 if you don't count Super Mario Land 2).

The eShop offers page seems to indicate that there are no VC games in the Capcom sale. Oh well.

Right there with you buddy, they're supposed to be good games with very high production values but I'll wait to hear some impressions.

Not my favorite anime though, everyone is so angry all the time, that main character is just TOO emo.

I don't know about any other Attack on Titan games but this one is getting very poor reviews.

I'm interested in playing 3D Thunder Blade, as well as many of the other 3D Sega classics that have been released on the eshop. There are some great interviews on Sega's blog that talk about these games in detail, kinda like Sega editions of Iwata Asks! Here's part 1 and 2 of the 3D Thunder Blade interview for those curious about the game like I am.

@Zero
Oh that's too bad, every now and then Kotaku will run an article on the JPN versions and they sounded pretty good, not perfect but okay. It's probably the kind of thing appeals more to hardcore fans of the series.

NSMB DS on Wii U VC?????

And Nihilumbra finally?? I really liked that game on iOS (one of the few I still respect to this day) but quit for a few reasons. I lost interest in iOS gaming pretty quick, and the game itself was surprisingly depressing. I hope it doesn't have a sad ending.

Bought.

Stop colluding.

Seriously though, congratulations! I've been waiting for this one a while, so I hope the release goes smoothly.

I remember talking about how weird it would be when New Super Mario Bros. hits the VC. Ooh, a new Super Mario Bros.! Wait, but this is an old game. How can it be old and new?! So confusing! I thought this day would be a bit farther off than this... though I also thought it'd be on a handheld VC, so I guess that's why it's earlier.

Anyone here interested in Shapes of Gray enough to review? I saw Secret_Tunnel was interested in a proposition though I'm not much a fan of that kind of gameplay but I know it's very popular in other folks. Not that someone who LOVES that kind of thing needs to be the reviewer but someone should review the game who has a deeper understanding of what makes games like it great. I would just see it in the wrong light in the end.

My favorite thing about NSMB is probably the bosses. They were interesting takes on familiar enemies that had a lot of personality in their design. It's the kind of thing you'd expect to see in Paper Mario, so having them pop up in a 2D platformer was a treat. I also thought it was neat that two of the worlds were completely optional and very easy to skip completely. I don't know if that's something Nintendo would do today.
