Maybe it's due to the game and choice of scenes, but the Super Mario Bros. unlocked by my lone amiibo is pretty underwhelming.
9 scenes: 1-1, 2-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, 6-1, 7-1, 8-1, 8-4.
No imagination. No point. |

@GuillaumeThat's a pretty good spread! You might even be able to see the whole game that way. Super Mario Bros. is probably the least necessary title, since we've all played it 10,000 times. But there's a certain charm to jumping straight to a certain section of a game. It was pretty fun to do boss rushes in Super Metroid and Link to the Past. I had forgotten how great the bosses in LttP were! By the way, if you erase your Amiibo Tap save data, you can get different titles with the same Amiibo(s). I kept switching for a while, trying to get Donkey Kong Jr. and Mach Rider, but it only cycled between SMB, SMW, Zelda I, LttP, Metroid, Super Metroid, Kirby's Adventure, and Kirby Superstar. I guess the less-popular titles are gated behind having more Amiibos, to limit getting a potentially underwhelming game. Or maybe they think that just having a three-minute taste of Mach Rider would be enough for most people, so they make it harder to access? I dunno. |
