Yeah maybe later today. I was doing some event quests and oh my goodness the one which gets you Link's weapons was so hard myself and Stratos and a few randoms only beat it once.

Nintendo had a Nintendo Minute on this game and went over the basics of the game and some helpful tips as well.

Their outfits are pretty great.

I am online right now and doing some event quests if anyone wants to join me. I guess Anand is the only one on my friends list from here other than Mop it up and Stratos that have the game so if you want come and hunt with me Anand. I have a passcode for the room and it is 5773.

Yeah we didn't have much luck with the hunts. We were trying to get the Zelda gear but we didn't have much success.

Yeah these missions are getting way too intense. I just spent like half an hour hunting a Rathian in a heated area. I had 6 cooling potions to use... but I busted through all of them. I also died twice and on my third attempt, I had no potions left and had to chase it down in its nest area where my life bar was continuously draining thanks to the heat. Gah!

Finally got my N3DS XL, so I'll be grabbing this soon off the eShop.

Regarding for the Friend Codes, Fabien's right. I guess we should post our Character name, rather than our NNID. I had forgotten how it all worked.

I hit a ridiculous wall in single-player. A wall named Brute Tigrex. Screw that guy. He's a gunner's worst nightmare.

They don't feel so sorry where I'm at in the single player There's a weapon that I want to try to get. With the current skills that I have, it would bring my affinity to 35%. It doesn't have any sockets and the elemental damage is locked away though... but with so much critical hit, I wonder how useful it would be.

Rather than worrying about affinity, I used to just gem for Critical Draw, or whatever. Guaranteed Critical Hit on the draw. But I had a Great Sword, so the draw attack was key.

I would run up to a monster, draw, charge to 100% and unleash my fury. If I came into an area before a monster, I could knock it right out of the sky before it descended. Pretty satisfying.

Draw attack means your first attack after pulling out your weapon? I saw that but wasn't sure exactly how it worked.

Yeah. It's either PunishDraw or CritDraw. Guaranteed critical on the draw attack. It's the first attack after pulling out your weapon, but I think it has to be a draw attack, in which you strike AS you pull out your weapon.

I only tried the great sword a bit but I'm not sure how well that would work for the long sword since draw attacks aren't really a huge focus. I would imagine the following attacks, especially when charging up the sword, can land quite powerful blows on criticals.
