So, how are you liking this game? I think it's fun. I'm playing it in small doses. I'm on battle 42 of about 159 (for now). I already got the Mew from a special event, too. I haven't captured all the pokemon I have battled. I'm focusing on moving forward and then coming back to catch them all. I AM making exceptions for those pokemon I can actually Mega Evolve.
By the way, how does this game compare to Pokemon Trozei? I haven't played that one.
@Jargon In my experience, I'd say any three (or four) as fast as possible. Don't even wait for the matched Pokemon to pop (or whatever word you want to use to describe them disappearing) before matching up the next ones you see. Doesn't even matter if it's a "not very effective" Pokemon. Match it anyway.
And if you can do this while looking for combos, even better.
I hope I just secured my Lucarionite. I decided to but the bullet and use a 1-complexity. Lots of coins and only one shot but it helped me nab another 4,000 points or so. Thus as of right now I'm 3,075 of 203,767.
Why would you lose it? 12,000 should be good enough for winning the stone. In the 16,000s it's just ensured pretty much I can stop trying to grind these next 12 hours. Though I blew about half my coins in the process.
@DrFinkelstein Yeah, it should be good enough. We'll see.
I've blown a LOT of the coins that I cashed in my twelve jewels for these last couple of days. Mostly getting stupid Zoroark. And stupid Lucario. And the Complexity -1 for this competition. I stink at the timed stages.
By the way, guys, CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT WE'VE BECOME? If there's an even MORE exclusive Pokemon, I wonder how many of us would pony up actual cash to get it...
Especially if these Pokemon could be sent to the RPG titles.
Y'know, ever fiber of my being rejects the idea of spending money on a free-to-play game, but I've easily gotten $10 worth of value out of Pokemon Shuffle. The psychology behind this stuff is so interesting.
All this time I thought I was 39,360 out of 200,000 with a High Score of 16,647. And I've been frustrated and racking my brain trying to come up with a reason of why you guys would have better placement with lower scores. I just logged on and it turns out I'm actually 3,936 out of 213,657. I've been reading it wrong all this time. So, unless something drastic happens within the next day, I should be ok.
I can get around 10,000 fairly consistently, with a high score good for 25,000 in the world. But I haven't been able to best that and I've only got a few chances left, so probably not going to happen for me. Wish I'd saved my complexity -1 for it, but can't say I'll lose any sleep over it.
I managed to get one more high score, which has boosted me up to 12,182nd place... I might be alright since there's only three and a half hours left, but if I check back again in a couple of hours and things have gone south for me, I might be tempted to use my -1 Complexity.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I had a great run and got just over 12,000. Good for 20,338th place. SO CLOSE. Now I'm out of hearts and there's only 35 minutes left. I guess that means I'll get one last shot at it.
Man, how devious is this game? Having a prize that you need to win by a certain time and then making it so you can't play without waiting. It's tempting me so hard to pay real money so that I can keep trying. Nice try, Nintendo. I fear that others don't have the willpower I do.
Edit: Last try yielded a score in the high 11,000s. Not enough. I guess now I can only hope that Nintendo sees how many people participated and ups the amount of stones awarded.
The good news is the competition improved my skills enough that I was able to catch Moltres on my first recent try. I've now got all the main Pokemon and the first ten expert Pokemon caught (out of 19 so far unlocked).
