amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. DUDE. I don't understand this. I had stopped in NUMEROUS times to Best Buy asking about this crap, and NOBODY mentioned the tickets thing. Had I known there'd be ticket trash, I would've been there at 6 something and waited for an hour and warmed up afterwards instead of trying to time my arrival with the store opening. I don't get it.

And my GD store got 3. Not fair. Had we got 9, I'd have one.

Nintendo either really screwed this up, or this is part of their diabolical plan to rule the world through Amiibo.

Whelp. My level 30 Mega Man just kicked my ass. Only by one point, but he sure has my number. I can tell this is gonna be great training.

Saw a couple of Sheiks and a couple of Toon Links at Target, but decided not to pick them up. I'm surprised Sonic and Mega Man are hard to find but Shiek is just stone cold right there.

You can't go to a store around here lately without tripping over a bunch of Sonic and Mega Man. I find that funny because I doubt those two will have a lot of functionality outside of Smash.
But yeah, Sheiks are definitely plentiful.

I picked up my pre-order today and talked with the clerk. She said that a lot of folks ran to the back of the store in hopes of getting one yesterday and there was no ticket thing at that Best Buy. I don't think it was necessarily all of them.

Yeah, this tickets nonsense bugs the crap out of me. If I can just show up ridiculously early and demand a ticket, great! Sneaking out of work on lunch to get to the store at the opening is a complete waste of time.

Its really pathetic that stores are receiving very small quantities, like in the video above, that BB only got one Mega Man. Even when I acquired my Fox Amiibo on friday, the girl said they only received two Foxes in the shipment on Thursday. Yes, I know there are 1000s of stores just across NA receiving amiibos, still, one would think that more of these things could be pumped out at the toy factory making them.

Oh well, I really can't complain, I have the majority of the ones I really wanted, actually I have all the ones I really wanted, but in the beginning, I didn't even want this many. I have a total of 16. The only ones left that I really, really want is PacMan and Ganondorf. PacMan is in the next wave, so this should be interesting. I'm going to ask the manager at my one GS this week if he has any idea when they'll start taking pre orders for the next wave. We know each other fairly well and I have not used our friendship to acquire any amiibos, so far. I think I'll try to sweet talk him tomorrow, before going to work, and try to cement a deal for a PacMan amiibo. If he doesn't agree, I'll just threaten to take my business elsewhere and if that doesn't work, I'll just kidnap his family...buawhahahaha!

edit: The two Gamestops in my town both have a good supply of Toon Links, well on Friday they both had a good supply. It looked like they each had around 8 or so hanging on the wall. No guarantees if they still have them, but if someone needs one, I'd be willing to go online and reserve one. Also, Bowser is still around at GS, Best Buy and Walmart, in fairly decent quantities. There are Sheiks, but only at GSs about 30-40 minutes away.I'd only be willing to drive that far if someone would be willing to reimburse me gas money. It would probably take around 2.5-3 gallons for the trip down there and back. I'm not looking to profit off of anyone, though at the same time, it would cost me around $7.50 for gas.

So people don't need Ike eh? Gtarrant, you still want sonic?

Indeed. I might have two ikes up for grabs but I have one at home already. Not sure about the second yet. I am seeing ploot and beardednerd later this week so I can give them an Ike for you and they can ship it for cheaper than I would be able to. I'll let you know the cost later. Gotta check the receipt.

Amazon credit is nice. It'll give me an excuse to convert the Amiibos I've been buying extra of into board game income, lol. Since I already spent it I won't feel bad not putting it towards like rent or food. As for the CAD exchange rate, I will say it's not friendly to your side these days but I'll provide the cost in CAD once I calculate it.

I'm going out with my cousin as we usual do Mondays but tonight or tomorrow I'll post the new chart with all the breakdowns. I think mailing it all out Wednesday might be best and I'm planning to see Paul and the gang Friday or Thursday if Friday won't pan out.
