Now we're caught up! Welcome to a great episode that was recorded just a few weeks back... the same day Nintendo had their last 'general' Nintendo Direct and showed us the greatness coming in Spring 2015. This episode it's just Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) as the duo discuss the news that came from the Nintendo Direct.

They talk Splatoon, amiibo, Xenoblade Chronicles X, the 'new' 3DS XL, and much much more. That's all packed into the second two thirds of the show however as the first third is a nice Now Playing segment where the guys discuss two new Nintendo games... Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Fantasy Life.

DrFinkelstein is flying south for a little while but upon his return a new episode shall be recorded, so keep an eye out for new episodes! Thanks for the continued listenership as Joe, Stephen, and the various guests all appreciate your ears and support!

Music in this episode is from the Fantasy Life for the 3DS. Zero's theme music completes the show.

Please comment on the topics, the podcast, the guests, hosts, etc. on Negative World! You can also reach us through Facebook or Twitter. We would really appreciate the feedback. Listening to the episode. I forgot that at 1hr 20m 45s I pretty much predicted the gold Mario Amiibo. =P Dunno if that's good, bad, or what, but... yea. =) Oh, hindsight, you so crazy.

Aaaahhh! Joe! I played Kwirk back in the day! That game was aweso....well, it was okay. Pretty hard. I remember liking it as a kid, though.

Cool to hear someone else has played it. Thought I was the only one.

Fun Fact: In Japan, Kwirk was a happy-looking potato with a dorky baseball cap and dorky shoes.

For the West, it was changed to a tomato with a green mohawk, sneakers and shades. Kinda reminds me of the "angry eyes" Kirby trend in localization.

Also, why did they think a tomato was a more "in your face" vegetable? Is it the red color? Gotta be the red color.... but the game is black and white! .... but I guess it's box covers that sold a lot of games back then. Ah well, interesting to think about!

@NinSage
This should make it abundantly clear that the tomato is the in-your-face-vegetable!

@NinSage

That's actually pretty funny. And yeah, tomatoes totally have more 'tude! They're used in salsa and stuff. So they are naturally spicier.

Or something, I dunno.

@r_hjort

That is like the very definition of an "in your face" tomato.

Less Fun Fact: Tomatoes and potatoes are both members of the nightshade family of vegetables. So, I guess there was that consistency in the transition =)
