I got my pre-load code this morning and I can't wait to take this one for a spin this weekend after I take my final. Who else is picking this up?

Pretty pumped! I got my pre-order in at Newegg while it was $5 off. Hoping they ship it fast but expecting to get it sometime later next week.

Canvas Curse was the first DS game that really sold me on the system. I have very fond memories of it.

If this is remotely like it, I'll be a very happy camper. I've been on media blackout for this one for a while, so it's going to be a fresh experience for me.

Same with me. I bought the DS in the summer of 2005, and Canvas Curse was my very first game (and the first Kirby game I ever owned).

I have Rainbow Curse preordered, and while I'm not super hyped, I'm still looking forward to playing it later this week (or early next week if it arrives late).

Pretty much the same for me. Though I got my DS for Mario Kart DS, Canvas Curse was my first DS game that made the system's touch screen make sense to me. Also it was my first Kirby game I ever owned as well.

Rainbow Curse is going to be great I feel.

+1 Canvas Curse sold me on the DS.

I am so getting this. I'm ecstatic that they added in what looks like a fun couch multiplayer mode.

I got the game downloaded yesterday (it's around 3 GB pre-load) and the icon is mocking me currently.

Picking this up on Friday. I'm really looking forward to it.

Buying it Friday, hopefully shortly after picking up a Meta Knight...

Pretty jealous that you guys get to play it this soon. I could easily have spent spring rolling around as a cutesy, pink ball of clay. Hell, the soundtrack alone should be worth the price of admission.

I like this quote from Destructoid: "could be the most decadent, shameless display of cute-porn Nintendo has ever displayed."

Most reviewers are losing their shit at how pretty the game is, it's awesome to see.

Kind of surprised Nintendo hasn't done a Paper Mario on Wii U, just because they seem to be getting a lot better with making these materials look like actual materials. up until now, I think Paper Mario has looked just like flat sprites, but now they're making things look like yarn, fabric, clay, etc, and they're getting pretty crazy good at it.

@Guillaume

I thought it was the best-looking game of E3. I kinda have no idea how they made it look so...clay-ey.

The only problem is that you're forced to keep your eyes on the (relatively lo-res) GamePad due to the stylus mechanics.

Reminds me of a Giant Bomb (I think?) gameplay video of Kirby's Epic Yarn where the two guys playing couldn't contain their feelings of affection for the cuteness on display, screaming and cursing every time something new popped up.

If Rainbow Curse is even half as cute as Epic Yarn I'm gonna be a very happy man.

@TriforceBun

I've read that's an issue reviewers have. I'm okay with it, but it was a concern I had when I first saw it too.

Planning to play co-op with Karen, so at least one of us can drink in the graphics.

I think brightening the Gamepad might help. I find that its low res nature benefits from at least having a really bright image.

GameSpot's reviewer apparently found the game "too difficult" and gave it a horrible score.

And GiantBomb took a giant shit all over it as well.

@ShadowLink_89

I'm never trusting GameSpot again after their ridiculously horrible Tropical Freeze 6/10 review. They've joined the ranks of Game "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" Informer for credibility.

@ShadowLink_89

I can respect the score, but their reasoning behind it was pretty terrible. The written review is poorly written.

I haven't watched GiantBomb's review, but their reasoning was it didn't live up to Canvas Curse...I can respect that. But every other review outlet is praising the game, so...outliers are going to happen.
