Just curious if anyone else picked up this set? It only being $10 for the first week is a crazy good deal. I still have the physical version, but couldn't pass this up.
I downloaded a save file so that I could start on Hard Mode (as I did when I originally played Metroid Prime because I let my friend borrow it and my Gamecube before I played it in exchange for him buying it for me). Not sure if you could do that on Wii U since there's no Homebrew, but I think maybe you can because you can save Wii saves on the SD card?
Hard mode just means the bosses take 20,000 shots to kill instead of 10,000, the game is already bullet-sponge hell on normal why put yourselves through that?
@VofEscaflowne Nope. You can start on Veteran which is harder than Normal, but "Hyperdrive" (Hard) is unlocked after beating it once. The irony being Veteran is par for Gamecube's Normal mode, Wii Normal is actually Easy.
On 11/12 Artifacts. The one I didn't grab is the only one I remembered where it was at from the beginning in Magmoor. When I scanned that last hint I had to save and turn the game off. I was on edge.
75% of items (all Energy Tanks) and 91% on Scan Log so far with no guide. So that's pretty good.
I don't mind starting on Normal, which U guess is different from Easy. I've played these games at least two or three times each by now, so I kind of want to just roll through them.
I was wondering why the game seemed as easy as it did though. I did die and lose a lot of progress though, so I can't get too cocky. I hate that room in the mines with the Phazon on the floor, the one that you pop back into after getting the Phazon Suit. I always fall down. And in the case of the Wii version I keep forgetting which button is the Spider-Ball and which is the Boost Ball.
So is it possible to get all of the rewards with the digital version? I think I missed a few and with no Wii Connect 24, well...hmm. If not, no big. I was just curious.
I'm pretty sure in hard mode you get damaged faster too. Anyway I like the challenge. I've already beat all 3 games on the hardest modes, going back to normal would be odd.
Then again hard mode had some reallllllllly stressful moments. Maybe I don't need that stress right now anyway. I'd like the choice though.
Maybe I'm missing something here but it seems that you can't purchase something from the eShop and NOT download it. I thought you could purchase it and download it later. Maybe that feature is only on the 3DS? If I don't get an external HDD by today I'll miss out on the sale.
@ludist210 I think you can find a save file online that has all that stuff in there, though I'm not sure if it would delete any of your current progress. I think you'd probably have to do that first before playing,
Thanks. I tried that but it doesn't try to use your current funds from your NNID account which is dumb! I have to use a CC in order to get the download code but my funds are really tight at the moment. Sigh...
