amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. I've been checking feverishly for when it does go on sale. I'm tempted to buy two just so I have one to help out a fellow Negative Worlder who might miss out.

If anyone is curious, Shulk is now available for pre-order at EB in Canada. Got mine in this morning!

I canceled Pit and Sonic because I need to slow down. Once I get Rosalina on pre-order (hoping that goes live today), I'll have five on pre-order (her, Mega Man, Ike, Sheik, and Luigi...since Amazon "can't find him").

There's actually a pre-order button on there this morning though, which there wasn't at all yesterday.

Mom got me a Diddy for Christmas, apparently, and picked up a Zelda in case my reserve at GameStop goes *poof* for whatever reason. They still haven't called me, hmmm... In any event, because I bought the Little Mac early, that ensures that all over the 2A figures are "mine" now. Was anyone looking for a Little Mac (or Zelda)?

Edit: Well... they were.... now the button wont work for me. I thought it was limiting me to 1 per person but I was going to get another to help someone here and the website now states "Sorry, this item is not currently available."

If they're truly sold out already, then what the fuck. Based on twitter, these were open for 30 minutes. Something ain't right.

Edit: Now the button is sold out again. I... presume... mine is a legit pre-order? I don't know what the hell happened here. It was earlier than 6am here in the EST time zone for God's sake.

I'm not real happy about how Target has handled this for the last two nights now (was about 3 minutes Tuesday morning and 30 this morning) so I've got to think they glitched. She's one of the few I've been clamoring for since day one.

Per that Tweet, the Nintendo World Store in NYC has Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, and Marth. Limit one per person. Highly recommend some action from the boards on this.

I have two Wii Fit Trainers. If Stache is looking to get one, I've got the hook up. But if anyone wants to pick up a Villager or Marth for me, I'd be elated.

I thought I would maybe only pick up one amiibo. I'm up to 6 with Pit and Shulk coming in later. Got Mario today but that was free with Captain Toad!

CPA_Wei and deathly_hallows are the only ones in NYC area as far as I know (maybe Tranquilo too?) and even then it's not exactly convenient to get to midtown Manhattan all the time. But maybe if they're in the area.

Certainly. NYC is a big place and not convenient for quick trips. Definitely don't want to speak on anyone's behalf but hey, it's one known location for the moment.

I picked up Peach and Link for my 3 year-old daughter's and my stockings last night. She typically picks Peach when we play (read: she watches me play) Mario Kart, so I think she'll be excited.
