Well the thing about the 3DS XL IMO is that it doesn't really look blurry. It looks exactly the same as the 3DS screen does, only bigger, so your brain thinks it's blurrier. If you play a pixel perfect game like an NES game or something like Mutant Mudds, it looks amazing - way better than the regular 3DS. Obviously the problem with the Gamepad is that it takes a 1080p image and what, halves it? So even something like Pushmo World might just look sharper and cleaner on the super low res 3DS than it does on the Gamepad, simply because nothing is being blurred.
I suppose Nintendo skimps out on things like speakers, mics, and displays sometimes because they have to keep those margins as big as possible. Still, I wish the quality of some of these things was better. It was kind of a joke that the speakers in the XL weren't as good as the ones in the original 3DS. With a bigger system, you'd think they'd be better. Same thing happened with the DS Lite. The original DS had louder speakers (which admittedly spiked at times), and then the DS Lite speakers were quieter and more muffled. |
