That one particular stage slowed to a crawl when I played 3-4 players in my living room. Makes no sense to me, but it happened.

@ploot

Yeah, lag. That's why my matches with you were so terrible. Yeah!

Heh.

Heh...

But really, the lag has gotten better...or maybe it's just me. Most stages work fine for me, especially in Omega form. But that could just be me.

Post-Direct-Hype-Battles to release some steam, anyone?

@HammerLord

Wanna battle? I'm online now.

What do you mean, release steam? It was a Nintendo Direct.

I slept earlier than usual yesterday and didn't check your post. Sorry about that. Still, it's Friday. Anyone interested in playing this weekend?

This was on the second page? Whoa!

Anyway, anyone having trouble getting 100-Man Smash in under 3 minutes? I'm almost done beating it with each character and I have the remainder to do.

Toon Link, Wario, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, and Mr. Game & Watch (all in the upper right corner if you've got all characters unlocked).

Anyway, I found that I was able to do this feat with a handful of characters and wanted to share that info here.

Rosalina & Luma (02:58.81) - I was surprised when I did this
Robin (02:54.90) - surprisingly nimble
Pikachu (02:51.43) - easily the best one for me
Bowser Jr. (03:00.03) - if it weren't for a flub, I woulda done this one. His Side B move back and forth the whole match secures it.

Did anyone else do it with another character not here?

I finished 100-Man with Lucina in just over two minutes (something like 2:00.98). Seem to recall mostly just sitting on one of the raised platforms and up-tilting mostly.

@nate38

My time with her is 03:41.13 but I was chasing everyone around and such. Impressive feat you pulled off!
10/30/14, 03:06
@DrFinkelstein It'd probably be even more impressive if I wasn't just standing there holding up and hitting A over and over again!

Well, I unlocked all characters and stages. To be honest, I'm not sure what else to do now. For the most part Smash was always a multiplayer game for me. I guess I could play more online? Haven't really played it much online, not sure why that isn't drawing me in more.
10/30/14, 03:54
@Zero It's a multiplayer game at heart. I haven't been playing much myself, without some local buddies to throw down against. I tried farming custom specials and other equipment in Classic mode, but even that gets old fast.

I wish my online connections were more consistent. I played a handful of For Glory matches today, and they were all at least a little laggy. I don't know if my connection is spotty or what. Some days its perfect, others I get a dozen slideshows in a row. Although I guess even at its worst, it's never quite as bad as Brawl was...

I've completed Classic with all characters. All-Star with half. All other modes (except for Cruel Smash) I believe were done with all characters, yes even winning with each on Smash Run. Smash battles and multiplayer has been the least of my time but I need to put more time into that.

How many challenge boxes have you opened Andrew? Online is pretty fun.... been playing a lot with the tourney dudes and it's been a blast.
10/30/14, 04:12
What is a challenge box? You mean the things that unlock when you say... play this course 3 times or whatever? I got the whole first page and a few on the next. But really, I was only doing them to unlock characters and stages.

To be honest too a part of me just doesn't want to get too burnt out on Smash before the Wii U version, which I'm kind of considering the "main" version.

@Zero

Well if you've got that mental block on yourself, of course the SSB 3DS version will fizzle out quick. The Wii U certainly has a lot of punch packed in it, but the 3DS' first Smash Bros. is a damn good one and I'm finding there to be a lot of fun to be had. If you're a mulitplayer dude and don't get much out of other modes, gotta hit that online.

Have some fun! You and Anand should meet up and play some rounds, or Koovaps (If he's got it).

I'm working on completing all those challenges though I think the big problem will be the ones like play 50 hours of smash. I spend a lot of time in other modes which doesn't get counted towards that. But the online should help take care of that (pending that even counts...).

@Zero

Is it even possible to get burned out on Smash?
10/30/14, 14:37
Ugh, my connections have been pretty bad tonight. Wish I could figure out what the problem is.

What the heck people... I've beaten All-Star with all characters yet it won't unlock the Regal Crown and the challenge box. I made sure to beat it with both Bowser Jr. and an alternate costume, as well as all three different types of Mii Fighters. Most were on Easy to make this easier but a few were on Normal. Does it all have to be the same difficulty? I doubt it.

Anyone unlock this yet?
11/01/14, 15:19
@DrFinkelstein Hmm, you must be missing a character. You shouldn't need to beat it with any alternate costumes, and they don't need to be on the same difficulty level.

Check your Trophy Gallery to see if you're missing any "(Alt.)" trophies. There's one for each character.

Just played a bunch of people online with Japanese characters for names. These connections were mostly good. Connections with English names weren't so hot. No idea what's going on...

@DrFinkelstein

Maybe you beat it in co-op with someone using a different character? You'd get their trophy in that case, but I'm not sure if it counts as actually beating it with that character.
11/01/14, 16:48
@TriforceBun

I've never done Co-Op anything on my cart. I have 50 (alt) Trophies. Isn't there supposed to be 51 despite the amount of characters in the game is 'less'?

I made a spreadsheet comparing normal trophies I had with alt ones. I don't have an Alph or a Toon Link in my alternates, so I guess I never finished with Toon Link and thought I had?

Also, in other news, I managed 4 Cruel Melee kills with a Defense Heavy Mii Fighter who had a Down-Counter.

Edit: Alas! It was Toon Link! I've got my Regal Crown!
