I love Brinstar Depth, but it's a little too crazy and gimmicky to advance past a classic like Saffron City.

I have no idea how Great Bay made it so far. I didn't even remember that it existed before this poll.

Gotta go with the classic Corneria in the first one. Although it wouldn't make my final four personally.
Brinstar would though. Awesome stage. At least one stage that I really care about made the final four.

I have to second having no idea how Great Bay made it so far. Except I kind of do have an idea. Majora's Mask, right? But... are people voting for the source game or the stage? The stage isn't that great.

Of course it's great. It even has "great" in the title. Duh...

Brinstar Depths? Really? That's one of the worst stages in my book. I guess I can see the appeal, but top 4?

That's tough... I really like corneria AND great bay. I'm voting for uniqueness, even though I've had tons of fun with corneria.

And brinstar is a ton of fun, but saffron gets it.

I'm a little puzzled by some of these, myself. Regardless, Corneria is great and Saffron has always been fun.

I pondered on last night's podcast recording that if we had simply did this again in 6 months, and completely randomized the starting stages again... I wonder if we'd get a whole different outcome. This kind of bracket really lends itself to the individual matches.

As for my votes...

Honestly tough choices. Corneria is truly a great standard-style stage but not too boring. Not totally flat and such. Great Bay is just funky and unique and I love it. Brinstar Depths is a really cool stage, funky in it's own right. Saffron City, while I've been hating on it lately, it is a good stage. I don't judge anyone for voting with it and I wish we'd see it back someday. Still, I don't think it's better than Brinstar Depths.

Yea it really seems like there's no real frontrunners in this tournament. Which is a nice change from the inevitability of my March Madness.

I love the way Great Bay plays. It's just so surprisingly dynamic. But Corneria! Corneria is CLASSIC!

I'm kinda over Corneria. It's basically been the same stage for the past three games (yes, it was basically Sector Z from N64) and to me, it's not that interesting anymore. At least not compared to Great Bay.

I'm surprised Hyrule Castle got eliminated. I like Great Bay, but it feels a little slapdash to me, and the quick KOs on the piers were always a little annoying in my eyes.

It looks like the final may be two stages I don't care about much at all nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Not sure if you're tallying yourself but DON'T! It's no fun when people are paying that close attention but if you're just presuming from glancing, then I bow out of this convo, lol.

Oh I tally alright. But only after I vote. And I always vote for my favorites anyway, I'm not like one of those Australian schemers.

But I won't spoil who is leading, or how much they are leading by. Although I guess if people know my tastes I may already have spoiled it.
